Default Gallup: GOP would win the House of Representatives

William Tate
American Thinker

Psst. Don't tell anybody, but Republicans would win control of Congress if the election were now, instead of next year.

It's sure to remain the biggest political secret not in the news. Naturally, the media will ignore it; the polling company that produced the survey, Gallup, even buried it under a misleading headline.

Maybe, to get some coverage, the Republicans could claim to have hidden somebody in a weather balloon, or something.

The congressional election prediction is part of a one-two punch Gallup delivered Barack Obama's Chicago mob on Tuesday, albeit reluctantly.

Quote:
'Would you vote for a Democrat or Republican?' question showed a dramatic slip for Democrats since July. Their new numbers show 46% saying they would vote for Democrats, 44% for Republicans.
I wonder what the polling would show for all the deceased Democrats that show up to vote each election?

Before anyone, especially the national GOP, gets too giddy about the thought of regaining power...here's a wake up call.

In the last election cycles, many real conservatives chose to be absent in a major way because they refused to vote for the very antithesis of their core beliefs, and they refused to be taken for granted by the GOP...ie "Send us your money and vote for us and then shut up--we are your only option!"

Remember?

No place to go? Au contraire...

The GOP that needs to realize once and for all that IT has no place to go...not if they want to win elections. The moderates have proven time and time again that THEY are not the key to winning, the social conservatives are. Moderates are not even committed to the cause, and will betray it time and time again. We knew that from the beginning, why doesn't the GOP? By definition they are moderates because they are fickle and can't be depended on...duh!!

It was the social conservative activists that wrought these victories and if the GOP wants to keep winning, well, the answer is pretty obvious--go with the ones who enable you to win.

GOP--its real simple. There is a war going on out here--a war for America...we will either be the America of our Founders or we will be the dark monstrosity they warned us about and that Khrushchev actually promised. The two parties are simply the way we fight this war in this country. But let there be no doubt that there are two OPPOSING forces fighting for control of a nation--

The problem is, the GOP hasn't come to that realization. While the rest of us are in hand to hand combat for every inch of ground the GOP thinks we are at a dinner party and has literally invited the opposing forces to join in and casually gives away square miles of territory without a thought.

LISTEN: YOU DON"T WIN WARS BY HELPING THE OPPOSING FORCE ACCOMPLISH ITS OBJECTIVES. While some say "don't win the battle and lose the war"...there is no army that won a war by losing all the battles...WIN THE BATTLES, big or small.

The conservatives of this nation, God bless them, know precisely what we are fighting for, the GOP doesn't seem to for some odd reason.

Its decision time GOP--are you a Nathan Hale, or a Benedict Arnold?
