Wow! Look What the Establishment 'Republican' Just Did
Bobby Eberle
The Loft at GOPUSA
On Friday, I talked about the battle going on in the special election for New York's 23rd congressional district. More and more Republicans were coming out in support of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman despite the fact that the "Republican" in the race, Dede Scozzafava, had the support of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and the likes of Newt Gingrich.
As with many things in politics, wait a few days, and everything changes. Not only is Scozzafava out of the race, but her follow-up endorsement should be a strong kick in the teeth to the NRCC, Gingrich, and anyone else who tried to sell us on the fact that she was a "Republican." Now, the real race is on!

Re: Wow! Look What the Establishment 'Republican' Just Did
This just goes to show what I always say. The letter 'R' after your name does not make you a Republican. The voters don't vote for the labels anymore. Newt Gingrich was stupid to have fallen into that trap. I will continue to support the candidate that is closest to my beliefs.

I'd say Dede just taught a bunch of people a very important lesson.

Re: Wow! Look What the Establishment 'Republican' Just Did
Dede "Scuzzy" was no more a Republican than my cat. Why do the "common people" see things like this so clearly and the leadership of the RNC and the NRCC all seem to have blinders on? If the leadership is moderate, as it appears, they need to get out.
The pendulum has made it's swing and they are the ones out of phase. Get out, get out, get out...we need no more of Newt either.....what happened, he once was a conservative. He, like Bush 41 seem to think they can "get along with" Demonrats but that never works! Aren't these people ever going to get tired of getting kicked in their teeth for their trouble?

Re: Wow! Look What the Establishment 'Republican' Just Did
Apparently the RNC and the RNCC and Newt Gingrich learned nothing form the Arlen Spector fiasco. After receiving support from the Republican party and President Bush in his re-election campaign, Spector turned coat and became a Democrat. Scozzafava is cut from the same cloth.
If that's a pun, please pardon it.

Dede Scozzafava is a deceiver. She practices phony politics where deception is morally justifed in her mind ... a typical liberal practice.
We are lucky she was exposed in time

Re: Wow! Look What the Establishment 'Republican' Just Did
Again, the real Republican has moved in to the place of prominance. It is time that the RNC, tre NRCC, and the NRSC wake up to the fact that if they want to continue to lead the Republican party, they must adhere to Republican principles.
They has their chance with a Republican congress and a Republican President in 2004. Instead, they completely blew it and allowed the Dem's back in in 2006. Then, by claiming the ability to carry out Democrat policies better that Democrat in 2008 , we now have an absolute disiater on our hands.
It is time for the Republican party to embrace and articulate real Republican principles in order to stop this disaster and save our country before it is too late.
Take a close look at what the TEA parties are advocating.
