November already! Time to start thinking of

It's almost time for off-year Election Day throughout the land. Tell us what's on your ballot and how you feel about it.

There wasn't much on mine but I voted against it. This is no time to raise taxes for any reason, IMO.

We voted by mail this year. I really, really, intensely dislike that. I don't trust the post office or the election office. I guess I've become paranoid but just because I think they are out to get me doesn't mean they aren't.

Nice bright sunny part of the Gulf Coast greetings to everyone!

Beginning of the week and wondering what new Obamanations are going to be hatched this week. I feel like I'm in a bad horror movie where the monster keeps coming alive after you stab it in the heart...... lol.

As my pastor says, it's gotta get worse before Jesus comes back. I think we're in for a bumpy ride!

Good morning!

It's been an exciting weekend with Doug Hoffman in NY's 23rd taking a huge lead in the polls after the Republican stepped down. Obviously she was a Rino backed by the party machine, Newt Gingrich, and others that haven't gotten the message yet. She really showed who she is when she asked her supporters to back the Democrat running against Hoffman.

I can't really take credit for Hoffman's double digit lead but I was an early supporter and put his name out a couple of months ago trying to drum up support for him when he was running a distant third.

I'm watching Virginia and New Jersey closely too and think we're going to win in VA. Don't know about NJ. That's a tough state for Repubs.

Really, really looking forward to my trip to DC on Thursday to meet with Michelle Bachmann and walk the halls of Congress to tell them to vote no on healthcare. Just found out Jon Voight will be joining us. I know lots of Repub politicians will be there, but unless they are a true conservative, I don't get too excited about them.

It will be a very long day. We are renting a van so we can all travel together. Being a workday, many can't join us, but they'll keep calling and will be with us in spirit.

I was planning on going to headquarters and making GOTV calls tonight until I remembered it's Monday and

has scouts. I'll be at the polls off and on tomorrow holding signs outside urging votes for our side. Might also be making some GOTV calls depending on if they have enough others doing it, or not. I'll do what needs doing most.

Local Dems have been playing dirty pool. They've watched what we've done and have been showing up at our events and/or doing what we've done, but doing it after us. They showed up at our Republican Meet and Greet, and just held one yesterday for their candidates while ours was in August. We had a candidate meeting with our senior citizens last Monday that was well attended, so tonight, they're having an ice cream social with their candidates and seniors. I guess they have no original ideas of their own. We'll know tomorrow night if their tactics worked or not.

I feel badly about not being able to get in here as often as I'd like and not having time to go back to see what I've missed. Hopefully all my GOP family members are doing well.

It's errand day, so time to get moving. It's a busy week.

I just came back from my doctor's appointment. I have lost nine pounds. My physician is proud and told me to continue what I am doing.

Lucky, Rush Limbaugh just mentioned Michele Bachmann's Thursday doings. Hopefully you'll get more people now.

It seems she doesn't think the telephone calls, faxes and e-mails are working for this next vote on the health care bill so she wants people to see the whites of the the legislators' eyes and ask that they not vote for the bill. Hope it works. She's a fireball for sure.

I was just reading an article on the HuffPo and some guys was pointingout that Republicans have no black people or women in our party. He pointed out that Powell endorsed Obama and Condoleezza looked the happiest she ever looked when she found out Obama had won the presidency.

Didn't see him mention anything about Democrats demonizing both Powell and Rice when they were picked for the Bush administration. Wonder why? He also didn't mention Margaret Cho, Sec. of Labor in the Bush cabinet, not only a woman but an Asian.

A 19-year old white supremacist according to this guy was elected to some position in Florida, presumably on the Republican ticket. Any of our Floridians know anything about that?

Wonderful news Katy. Good for you!

I've actually lost from 10 to 15 lbs. myself. Not doing anything special, just less stress now that I feel I am doing something. That's helped my BP although I don't know why. I first started having BP problems when I was 20 y/o and not a lb. overweight then. Whatever the reason, I'll accept it.

Things still aren't finalized for our DC trip, but we're getting closer. We've found a van to rent. After checking out all the other options, the van is the best way without having the expense of having to stay overnight. We'll all share in the expenses which will keep the costs down for all of us.

People are coming from all over the country. One member of our group has her BIL flying in from CA to join our group on the steps of the Capital building.

There is also a call out to those who can't get to DC to go to either your state capital building or to your representative's district office and protest there.

Word is out that Pelosi might hold the vote as early as Thursday. Hopefully, we can stop it but Pelosi is in a safe district and doesn't care.

I'll also be marching with our Constitutional Brigade in Hartford's Veterans Day Parade on Sunday. It's the largest in New England.

Between the election activities, the DC trip, and the parade, this is a busy week for me. The Dems aren't taking a rest and are trying to push everything they can so we can't stop either.

Terri, what do you think of Ken Buck? I see he is running for a Senate seat from Colorado.

For the last few months I've been researching candidates and putting up names of good conservatives on websites. I concentrated my efforts on those with special elections or those having elections tomorrow.

Now I'll be looking at those who have primaries beginning in early spring. If we want conservatives to win primaries, we've got to support them early in the process. We don't want the party to decide who our candidates should be. I'm sure all of you know that already.
