Default Franken the senator could be 'SNL' spoof material

By AP STAFF
Associated Press
July 2, 2009

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Al Franken's torn over who he'd like to see turn the parody tables on him.

As a former "Saturday Night Live" cast member headed to the U.S. Senate, he could be a prime spoof target for his former show.

When asked Wednesday who'd be best for the role, Franken first told The Associated Press it may be Fred Armisen, who portrays President Barack Obama in SNL skits. He then said occasional guest Alec Baldwin might be a better fit.

Hee hee, do you really mean to say that Al Franken (the nastiest insult "comic" ever to come down the pike) wouldn't mind being parodied by the likes of Mr Jowls and Blubber, Alec Baldwin? Franken has to be even nuttier than I imagined.

What is it with Minnesota anyway........a pro wrestler and a Saturday Night Live "comedian"?

Vould dat be stupid, yah?

Congress has finally become a Comedy of Errors with Al Franken as the moderator. What's with Minnesota?
