Default Democrats strike early with labor rights bills

By JIM ABRAMS
Associated Press
January 9, 2009

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressional Democrats are wasting no time in promoting labor rights issues they argue have been thwarted during eight years of the Bush administration.

Two pay discrimination bills on the House floor Friday could be among the first that labor-friendly Barack Obama signs into law when he becomes president later this month.

"It is of the highest priority to us," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in explaining why the House is taking up the bills in the first week of the new session.

Anything the Democrats have to do with a labor bill will only cost the American public more money, heart ache, more union corruption, and a faster demise of the free market system in this country.

Anybody want to bet the unions won’t get everything they want in exchange for faithfully supporting the Dimocraps all these years?

The worst part is the loss of a secret ballot to initiate unions. Union thugs and bullies will ensure everyone votes to certify the union or they will get their heads busted, like in the old days. Loss of the secret ballot is an affront to democracy everywhere, yet since it favors their supporters, the Dims will allow it.
