Adamo: The Global Warming Crescendo Has Passed

As the cold of winter settles in on the northern hemisphere, all of the hysteria of "global warming," or its less specific alternative "climate change," rings increasingly hollow to the general public. Weather patterns of the past decade indicate that the planet has been in an undeniable cooling trend since prior to the new millennium. So the panicked prophesies of cataclysmic upturns in the earth's average temperature simply do not carry the emotional impact that they once held.

Specifically, the "global warming" debate has now advanced out of its dire predictions phase. It is no longer sufficient for celebrated professional alarmists to get in front of news cameras and prognosticate as to how quickly the world will incinerate. Such discussions are entering the observable evidence stage, in which those melting icecaps had better start inundating Manhattan or else people will begin to suspect they were being hoodwinked. To date, the scientifically quantifiable data show nothing but the normal warming and cooling cycles, easily attributable to the fluctuations in solar activity that have been the fate of the planet since its creation.

While I agree with Chris Adamo on 90% of this article, he misses one enormous point. The looney left will NOT let this go anytime soon.

Global Warming has been morphed into "Climate Change". What does that mean? Anything that is out of the ordinary.

At the next catastrophe such as a large hurricane, the crescendo of "Climate Change" will be at MSM outlet near you.

In the interim, they will point at the receding glaciers or like to get their point across, not giving any thought to the fact that glaciers take decades to rebuild. The Mt. Shasta glaciers are doing just that -- but 'that is a local phenomena and is an anomaly'.

Or CO2 emissions are causing temporary cooling. Another more likely scenario is that the Climate Change, caused by man, is orchestrating wild swings in temperature and we have to stop spewing emissions or be subject to catastrophic shifts is weather.

Global Warming or Climate Change was orchestrated by a few wealthy individuals to line certain pockets and gain control over the U.S. and other free countries in communistic fashion. Ask anyone who has lived behind the Iron Curtain and they will tell you just that.

Vaclav Klaus has been saying that for years, but it has fallen of deaf ears.

Don't look to the left to give up on this anytime soon.

Yep, it's one of those deals. Even our local weatherman chuckles every time he gives his report citing global warming then telling us that contrary to popular belief, it will be one of the coldest winters on record here about, he knows as we all do that there is no such thing, that the global weather always has and always will shift back and forth from cooling to warming on it's own.

It is putting WAY too much credit to the human race in thinking that we, the people of the world can either inadvertently or purposely change the weather patterns of a world that is so very much older then we are. But then man has always equated itself with God, at least deep within their minds, Al-gore is one of the worst.

So when it's forty below zero on the F. scale, and the wind is blowing a 50 miles per hour, pushing snow into huge drifts that have been unseen in our neighborhood since the year before my birth (as photo's of the home place show) we MUST curtail our CO2 output so as to insure that it doesn't warm up, hell I think I will burn some tires get that carbon and CO2 up in the ozone layer perhaps I can warm things up for our neighbor hood, and stop the snow from piling up on our driveway!

Sorry to disagree with Chris, but the global warming controversy is not going away under PEBO. Obama continues to advocate that America's road to prosperity and financial stability "leads right through global warming solutions."

I have an idea..... how about Al Gore and his ilk all get totgether and build a huge ball, made out of something that will not change in appearance or ability and cover it with a layer of water and dirt, to make a surface and then surround that ball with oxygen that people need to breathe and then surround that top layer of oxygen that is all thermetically controlled and unadjustable for any reason, no matter what happens -- with another impermeiable ball that will withstand all interference from the sun, astroids, comets, falling space debris, breaking happening by being hit with some object that wants to enter its sphere, sun spots and their implications on the water, and then shoot said ball up into the outer layer of the stratosphere to float around in its own orbit that won't collide with anything that is already up there, and then all of them board a spaceship and fly it up to that ball and live happily ever after, never to return or ever bug any of those left on this planet that is a living, changing, adapting, ever growing and retracting thing, in peace.

Global Warming was and is the biggest scam ever perpetuated world wide. Its purveyors are nothing but opportunists and profiteers doing their best to gain power and money through scare tactics with the vocal and strenuous support of just about everybody else – the UN, the media, every liberal and radical on the planet, and so on.

At least I am somewhat heartened to hear that the momentum of the chicken-little, scare-tactics crowd is beginning to abate a little. Maybe there is hope for the future after all, if more people are able to peer through the darkness and perceive the light.

they just had to make it generic to mean that a change of either way would be covered by "climate change", that way they have their butts covered and all bets hedged!!

what is that old saying, can't win for losing?? they don't like to lose, so they are trying to change the rules in the middle of the game since many are now seeing "global warming" as a hoax, farce, what ever you want to call it.

Climate Change has become the "catch all" phrase just so the looney left mongers can CTA, Cover Their (A)heinies, in polite speak.
Climate over the entire world is going to change in some fashion or other, that is how this world is supposed to be.
CO2 is not the detriment it is made to be because CO2 is required for life on this planet.
But then, the gullible warming gorons are not required to be even slightly proficient in biology, or any other branch of the sciences, other than when it pertains to "Choice". But that's another topic.
I work in HVAC/R and have had to deal with climate for the last 15 years of my career, I know what happens involving the weather, the climate, the environment and I have learned firsthand that these useless idiots have absolutely no idea what they're getting overly excited about.
It's gratifying to know that some have gained some smarts about this situation but, the ones who haven't yet learned will be the ones who are screaming about "climate change" louder than ever so that they don't have to work at any honest employment at any later point in their lives.
