Attack on Israel from Lebanon threatens 2nd front

JERUSALEM (AP) -- Lebanese militants fired at least three rockets into Israel early Thursday, threatening to open a new front for the Jewish state as it pushed forward with a bloody offensive in the Gaza Strip that has killed nearly 700 people.

Two people were lightly injured, and the rockets that exploded in Israel's north raised the specter of renewed hostilities with Hezbollah, just 2½ years after Israel battled the guerrilla group to a 34-day stalemate. Hezbollah started the 2006 war as Israel was battling Palestinian militants in Gaza.

No group claimed responsibility and Lebanon's government, wary of conflict, quickly condemned the rocket fire. Israel fired mortar shells into southern Lebanon in response.

OK, now let me get this straight, as I think there may be something wrong with this whole affair.

First off, these folks are attacking Israel, from the South and now from the North.

Next, the rest of the world, and probably BHO are screaming because some civilians are killed when Israel tries to stop this attack on their small nation.

Now where this gets a bit confusing is that we are talking about the rest of the world, folks like Germany where their NAZI party killed millions, France where their leaders killed hundreds of thousands in different civil wars. England and the US, can you say Dresden? The United States, ever heard of Nagasaki and Hiroshima? Russia; who can say Siberian death camps?

I guess "The rest of the world" are now much more peaceful now that it isn't their folks who are being slaughtered in the streets, and we MUST be more forgiving to those who have fellow Muslims controlling the oil prices.

What a crock of intestinal waste!

WE, the United States and the "peacefull" Europeans should be in there with our tanks, bombers (Why waste those smart bombs, don't we have a stockpile of the old iron bombs like were used on Dresden?) and troops kicking ass and taking Palestinian names!

But you know, with the "New World Order" that old Kissinger says we are entering into with the RED Chinese (Who killed millions of their own folk and are still doing so, and killed our troops in both Korea and Vietnam; I know I was there in Nam!) must support the poor Palestinians (WHO NEVER had a homeland!) as they are oppressed by the evil Israelis (Who are damn tough and trying to help US control the middle east, the ONLY true friend we have in that part of the world!)

What a mess, where to I go to get out of this crap; when is the next rocket off to Mars? Guess there is no place better then here but it gets ever more insane, perhaps it's just me; or is it?

This article, like nearly every other "report" on this conflict, makes it seem like Israelis decided one day, "HEY, let's go kill us some Palestinian kids today. Might be fun and break up all this camel and desert monotony... whaddyasay? one, two three FIRE!"
