Default Sarah Palin to stump with Sen. Saxby Chambliss

By SHANNON McCAFFREY
Associated Press
November 26, 2008

ATLANTA (AP) -- Georgia Sen. Saxby Chambliss is calling in a closer: Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will join him for four rallies across the state on the eve of his hotly contested Dec. 2 runoff.

It will mark her return to the campaign trail after her bid as John McCain's vice presidential candidate and a chance to show off some political muscle in a state that backed her GOP ticket with 52 percent of the vote.

Chambliss is running off against Democrat Jim Martin in a race that could help determine whether Democrats have enough votes to block Republican filibusters in the U.S. Senate. The Palin announcement electrified state Republicans in the closing days of the race.

If Sarah can't swing the votes to Chambliss, I don't think anyone can. I'm really thinking this will be a win for us.

I hope this reinforces to Republicans that Gov. Palin is an asset to the party, not a liability.

The GOP needs to appreciate the opportunity for women and minorities in the next four to eight years if there's any hope of regaining Washington from the leftist illuminati settling themselves into the capital.

Whether or not she's ready to be Commander in Chief in four years, she needs to be on the ticket whenever the Republicans have a fighting chance next - but not before; we don't want to waste our Palin capital.

She drew enthusiastic crowds on the campaign trail as the first woman to win the Republican nomination for vice president but also faced questions about her preparedness for higher office and her pricey wardrobe.

Not from the enthusiastic crowds, she didn't. Only from the leftwing MSM.

So now Coleman has won in Minnesota. Hope and pray that Chambliss does the same in Georgia.

God bless you Mel, for campaigning hard in Georgia.

I wouldn't worry too much about whether Gov. Palin could lead this nation as president.

This woman has more moxy in her little finger on her right hand than 99% of those congress critters and she knows how to kick butt!

I don't think she's afraid of anything anyone can throw at her be it insults, threats, or anything else.

When she locks on target she stays on target until she hits it. People seem to forget she is commander of the First Line of Defense from Russian invasion from the north and is privy to classified info regarding the same.

She is prepared to step into action at a moments notice. If she wasn't prepared to do the job she wouldn't be commander.

Sarah Palin is exemplary of greatness in womanhood. She could be president and still have time to cook a great meal for her family any day of the week!

She's a rare jewel and hard to find nowadays!

Those who hate her are nothing more than jealous zealots! Their hatred will eat them alive!

well..our Black Friday campaign was pretty successful...we passed out coffee and hot cocoa to all the shoppers and passed out campaign literature also. The people were thankful and I think we may have gained a few votes...(pray that)!!

Then went and made phone calls for several hours...I guess I got lucky all I got were answering machines but I left messages..lolol..

Sarah will be in town at a private event today and then she will be out tomorrow for 4 events...I wished I could go and see her but it is not to be...

Thanks for all your good wishes and prayers.
It helps to know that all you guys are behind us on this.

Great job, Melreid!

Here's another AP story on Palin's appearances today.

Palin to campaign in Ga. for Sen. Chambliss

By SHANNON McCAFFREY
Associated Press
December 1, 2008

ATLANTA (AP) -- Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss enlisted Sarah Palin to rally conservatives while Democratic challenger Jim Martin pushed to activate black voters, as they grappled for advantage in a Tuesday runoff that will shape Democrats' hold on power in Washington.

Palin, the Alaska governor who was John McCain's vice presidential running mate, was to arrive in Georgia for a private fundraiser Sunday night, followed by rallies across the state Monday. McCain carried the state with 52 percent of the vote on Nov. 4.

Martin planned to campaign with prominent Georgia Democrats, including U.S. Rep. John Lewis, as he sought to rekindle the strong showing by African American voters in the general election that President-elect Barack Obama sparked.

Got an email from the Chambliss campaign pointing to this article...

Palin tells crowd nation is watching Georgia

By JIM THARPE

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Monday, December 01, 2008

Augusta — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin roared back onto the campaign trail Monday, calling on Georgians to re-elect incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss in his hotly contested runoff with Democrat Jim Martin.

“The eyes of the nation are on you,” Palin told several thousand people at the James Brown Arena for her 8:55 a.m. speech, the first of four appearances in the state. “We all have Georgia on our mind.”
