Al-Qaida No. 2 insults Obama with racial epithet

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- Al-Qaida's No. 2 leader used a racial epithet to insult Barack Obama in a message posted Wednesday, using a demeaning racial term implying that the president-elect is a black American who does the bidding of whites.

The message appeared chiefly aimed at persuading Muslims and Arabs that Obama does not represent a change in U.S. policies. Ayman al-Zawahri said in the message, which appeared on militant Web sites, that Obama is "the direct opposite of honorable black Americans" like Malcolm X, the 1960s African-American rights leader.

In al-Qaida's first response to Obama's victory, al-Zawahri also called the president-elect -- along with secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice -- "house negroes."

Tell us more, Barry, about how much the rest of the world loves us now, and how does it feel, Barry, to be lumped in with Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, those other house negroes according to al-Zawahri? So what's it going to be, Barry, you gonna pull the troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, or maybe just a real sincere apology to Al-Za will do the trick. Well, you're going to have to do something to gain the guy's approval and respect. After all, you can't just blow off the #2 terrorist in the world, can you Barry?

Speaking in Arabic, al-Zawahri uses the term "abeed al-beit," which literally translates as "house slaves." But al-Qaida supplied English subtitles of his speech that included the translation as "house negroes."

Obviously, al-Zawahri doesn't recognize BHO as the messiah. Maybe BHO needs to schedule an appointment with him so they can sit down, talk and iron out their differences. It's pretty obvious that America's image has been tarnished and BHO is obligated to polish it up a little bit. Afterall, don't we want everyone to love America?

And therin lies the weird anomoly, PB, because it's automatic. When Republicans control government, the rest of the world hates America, but with Democrats in power they slavishly adore us. This according to Democrats of course, so Al-Za is either uninformed or bucking the trend. But I'm sure you're right, if he'll unpreconditionally sit down with Barry over a nice cup of tea, I'm sure this minor misunderstanding can be worked out. I would suggest, however, that for the purpose of this meeting and in the spirit of commonality and togetherness, Barry allow good ol' Al-Za to call him by his middle name.
