Default Conn. looking into voter cards submitted by ACORN

By AP STAFF
Associated Press
October 10, 2008

HARTFORD, Conn. - The State Elections Enforcement Commission is looking into a complaint alleging that a community advocacy group submitted fraudulent voter registration cards in Bridgeport.

Joseph Borges, Bridgeport's Republican registrar of voters, filed the complaint. He said he has found problems with numerous voter registration cards submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, which works to register low-income people.

In one instance, he says a card was filled out for a 7-year-old girl, whose age was listed as 27 on the card.

This group is systematically and purposefully adversely altering our process - with a means justifies the end philosophy. They are knowingly registering ineligible voters and/or providing questionable registration information. And even though we know what they are causing harm to our system, injuring legitimate voters and candidates, we’re so stupid we allow them to continue the process and get away with it. ACORN should be disallowed to continue IMMEDIATELY and all the information they submitted should be purged from our systems. If a few legitimate voters are disenfranchised, so be it. Better that than to bring into questions the entire election.

Hey, there have been so many postings about ACORN, that I think that we should have an entire section devoted just to ACORN - that way we can see at one glance just how many states are being affected! Or maybe a section for Voting Issues, to include other illegal things going on. I know that we can search for "ACORN", but searches don't always work, depending upon the title of the post.

What do you guys think?

With Connecticut accepting Gay marriages by the Supreme Court overturning the will of the people. it is so hard to believe the religious God fearing Puritans originated this state. Connecticut: 5th to become a state 1788; settled by Puritans from Massachusetts; state laws were model for US Constitution; nickname is Constitution State. The new nickname? Blashfemy.

Obama paid the acorn people over 320,000 dollars to sign up any voters they can get by with. The FEC should shut down all voter registration now. If people aren't patrotic enough to have registered by now, they have no reason to register now.
