Palin Phenomenon Accelerates Downfall Of Old Media

The 2004 contest between President Bush and Massachusetts Senator John Kerry marked the beginning of the end for the old media monopoly. On the one hand, clumsy media attempts to fabricate a story, complete with phony documents hastily fabricated using modern word-processing software, clearly indicated that CBS bigwig Dan Rather and his minions were stumping for Kerry. Meanwhile, the old media failed miserably in their shameless attempts to discredit the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth. That organization's thoroughly documented evidence completely unraveled Kerry's baseless claims of heroism in Vietnam. By so doing, the Swift Vets struck the fatal blow to his inept campaign.

Of course the old media, devoted exclusively to liberal ideology, are wholly incapable of admitting their outrageous slant. Nor can they fathom their current inability to successfully function in the absence of their former almost total domination of information. Not surprisingly, the current crop of nasty and small minded leftists throughout the "news" and entertainment media (and to an ever increasing degree, the two institutions are becoming indistinguishable) are at it again. This time, their target is Alaska Governor and vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

One can only hope that the American public sees through the media's scurrilous attempts to discredit Palin.

Gov. Sarah Palin is the dazzling bait for the media and they're biting! Hungry mongrels have no brains!

But that's fine; let them be drawn into the trap because they will find all too soon they have jumped into very dangerous waters.

They're fishing in the wrong pond if they think they can destroy this lady. She'll eat them for breakfast and hang the rest out for jerky!

Behind that pretty face lies a determined woman that shouldn't be messed with as the media will soon learn the hard way.

So why is the McCain camp allowing an interview next week with katie Couric? You know it will be an ambush and edited to make Sarah look bad.

This is Obama's forte, standing in from of a camera delivering lines. Of course they support one of their own - Obama is nothing but an actor, an empty suit held up by a starched shirt and a swelled airhead.

Anyone who has yet to recognize national media bias in covering politics must have oatmeal for brains. This has been going on for years and I suspect probably because the people at the networks have a highly inflated opinion of their own worth as conduits for the "news" and have yet to admit culpability in attempting to manipulate public opinion and the outcome of elections. Equally guilty are the gullible who swallow the pap shoveled at them daily. Hello, it's time to wake up and start challenging these journalists (and I use the term lightly in describing the talking heads). This bias didn't start with the Bush Kerry campaign, but media's refusal to discuss Kerry's un-American activities and downright lies upon his return from Vietnam are glaring proof of their bias. They bashed Bush from morning to night while glorifying the inept, bloviating Kerry!

For much of the American public, the blinders are finally off and the public's BS meters are clanging! What is seen can most charitably described as ugly and at worst a futile attempt by media to glorify whichever left wing candidate is running at any given time.

Funny how all these celebrities want their privacy, yet have no problem crawling out of the woodwork when it suits their agenda. I noticed that McCain had a few celebrities ENTERTAIN at the Republican convention, but haven't noticed any of them giving spiteful speeches against his opponent.
I was never a fan of Kid Rock, but he got it right when he said words to the effect that . . . CELEBRITIES SHOULD KEEP THEIR NOSES OUT OF POLITICS.
I hope everyone has seen the SNL skit where McCain sang Streisand (poorly) and then added that he sang about as well as she could govern.

Sara Palin will be the one and she will with the help of the populace redefine MSM and we might even see some responsible reporting in the future . The News people have violated a public trust and one that will be hard earned to regain. The people are tired and they are smart they listen to this drivel of the stars from snotty wood and all they are doing is creating an audience that will no longer be viewing their wares on the silver screen. The big stars in Hollywood will be the losers here and not the people . As far as the news outlets that report the lies and nothing but the lies will be in the dust bin of American history , Ben Franklin should be rolling over in his grave at the dishonesty that has been displayed by the news out lets .

This is an absolute fact. I was in England for the past few days having to rely on CNN to get any and all news from the United States.

One morning last week, they did a full 30 minutes on Barack Obama and 0 minutes.. zero.. nadda.. nothing.. on John McCain and Sara Palin. There were on the street interviews, various people were talked to and allowed to voice their approval of Obama and their rejection of McCain and Palin, and on and on it went. Nothing positive about McCain and/or Palin. What they did say was that "there was some question" in their minds about her capabilities and qualifications.

Hmmm... in their minds.

Totally biased.

I believe the American people are beginning to awaken. I also believe the choice of Palin for VP is one that McCain's advisors recommended he select. Likewise Obama’s selection of Biden was one his Liberal advisors said to chose. The reason being both McCain AND Obama are fairly weak. Obama needs a good mouth piece like McCain needs Palin as a strong mouth piece. Biden being extremely anti-gun, Palin very pro-gun.

McCain’s weakness was paramount when he was on the VIEW. He appeared very restrained and it was Cindy that spoke up and defended him. Why didn't he raise hell with those wackos?

While many people think that McCain’s platform of reaching across the aisle is good, but, it makes about as much sense as Obama’a willingness to reach out to our enemies to sit and talk with them.

Both choices for VP are based upon the premise that either one may not make it to a full term for what ever reason, therefore a stronger personality is required to carry out the true objectives and goals of the respective parties.

If McCain/Palin are elected and I hope and pray they are, I would recommend he select John Bolton to the Supreme Court to insure our Second Amendment rights.

If Obama is elected you can be sure they will surrender our Constitution to the United Nations gun grabbers and others who want this nation patterned after their own flimsy and corrupt countries. After all Obama is a “Citizen of the World” he offers “change”. GOOD GOD!
