Palin Should Come Out Swinging In Debate
By Doug Patton
September 8, 2008
On the night of Thursday, October 2nd, first-term Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will face off against six-term U.S. Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware in their only scheduled debate of this campaign season. The conventional wisdom says that Biden, while being careful not to appear mean or condescending toward Gov. Palin, must simply display the fruits of his 35 years of experience in Washington in order to hold his own. But as is so often the case, conventional wisdom fails to take into account how wrong Biden has been on almost everything over the years.
While John McCain was still being tortured in the Hanoi Hilton, Joe Biden, like every flippant Democrat of that time, came to the U.S. Senate opposing the Vietnam War. Once elected, he voted to cut off funds to the South Vietnamese government, thereby ensuring a Communist victory.

Another great column Doug, with one minor exception: "Sounds like typical liberal thinking to me." You mean there is evidence that liberals can actually think??? I would have to see this to believe it.

Biden may be a Liberal idiot but he's no fool.
Other than the stupid remark about Sarah being the prettiest one of the group, he later complimented her on her abilities and admitted he had better be on his best game.

Ah yes never underestimate your enemy, She had better be up to the task which I think she can do a good job on Biden he is so vulnerable that it should be easy what we have to watch is the left winged news media countering her points with some left winged gibberish. As I have said before we must all get behind these two and vote for them get out off your sofa and go vote, it won't happen when the voters stay at home on election day . It is better to be right winged then to be Wright winged .

The more specific the Sarahacuda is in challengling Joe, the better off she will be. 1. Senator: Can you name me one foreign policy issue in the last 3 decades that you can actually say you were correct. Senator: what did you do to stop the vicious attacks on Judge Bork, Judge Thomas and Judge Alito? Senator: can you list for us any two accomplishments that the head of your ticket has done in the US Senate? Signed laws, federal impact? Senator: would you feel safer under McCain as CIC or your inexperienced head of ticket if Iran, Russia, China, Cuba, or Venez. exploded into confrontation? Please tell us why you think that way. Senator: as a Catholic, can you tell us how you justify your running mate's policy of infanticide? Just smile Sarah and ask these tough questions to Joe. Make him sweat as he will try Gotcha questions on you.

Re: Palin Should Come Out Swinging In Debate
This election cycle is motivating "We The People". Interest in character and issues are finally really being considered in real terms. Confrontations, the likes of what we have never seen, will be in the forefront. Truths and lies will be seen and heard. Given the past and even the current snippets that the American people have been able to watched, Obama and Biden will not be able to compete with McCain and Palin. Obama stumbles, Biden comes across as a duffus. Talk about a rout, this could be very embarasing for the both of them. We do not know much about Sarah's abilities in a debate, but the little we do know is that she can be very confrontational and likable at the same time. That is an unbeatable characteristic, hands down she will trounce Biden.

Re: Palin Should Come Out Swinging In Debate
Like everyone else, I am looking forward to the debate. It shouldn't be hard to show up Biden for what his experience is. He is almost always wrong, history proves it. I submit that he does not have 35 years experience, but only one years experience 35 times. He has never learned from his mistakes and continues to be always wrong.

Re: Palin Should Come Out Swinging In Debate
It seems as though Obama/Biden appeal to the less fortunate who, unfortunately believe that they will be leveling the playing field by taxing the higher income Americans to give to those less fortunate. This is just playing to the victim mentality that the Left has created. Sarah really needs to put this in proper context! For these victims to expect this is pure folly and they should not expect others to rescue them when they have the ability to go out and do for themselves. America is a country of enormous opportunities, don't sit back and expect others to do things that one can do for themselves. The "Poor Me" attitude has to be destroyed! Americans are a great people, with great opportunities, together we can accomplish even greater things. Party politics aside, liberals and conservatives have made this country what it is. Devision destroys progress, get up, get off you duff, make something of yourself and our country. Sarah did this, so have millions of other Americans. The misfortunate ones that Obama refers to can, and will be able to throw off that label under McCain/Palin, but under Obama/Biden they will continue to be held captive. This is their desire and non-productive.
