Obama sends supporters to blunt Palin's impact

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Barack Obama's campaign plans to employ high-profile female supporters in an effort to blunt GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's potential to persuade women to vote Republican.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano and Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius all were scheduled to campaign for Obama in the coming weeks. Republicans say they hope Palin, who made her national debut with a feisty speech on Wednesday, could put some female voters in play.

"We respect her. She's a skilled politician, as she proved last night," Obama strategist David Axelrod told reporters aboard the campaign plane Thursday. "She's deft at going on the attack."

WOW!!! I wasn't aware that the Obama camp was afraid of the bulldog with lipstick. But get this, according to the article, Obama is stupid enough to have women do his dirty work. How stupid is that? No one has ever told me what Obama's legislative accomplishments were ? what are they I have never heard on anything he has done except try to give away 890 billion of our tax dollars to Africa . and then he wasted 110 million dollars of our tax money trying to brain wash our children at school through the Woods foundation . thats all I know about, does any one out there know of more ? So Axel root is wrong they just say things that are not true or they are just pure misleading.
Oh yeah I forgot about all the organizing he did on Acorn, yeah the ones who register dead people so someone who is not eligible can vote in their place . So to be BLUNT! he has no accomplishments.

The feminists are livid about Sarah Palin: She has the audacity to be pro-choice; she is outside their "movement" and, unlike Hillary Clinton, she began her political career, not out of her own ambition, but as a PTA mom because of her concern for her own children. And God forbid . . . she choose to bring a child into this world who isn't perfect. How dare she!

The media are so angry at McCain's surprise that they feel the need to dwell on Governor Palin's outdated hairdo and "librarian" glasses . . . that she is a hunter and . . . gasp, actually killed a moose and cleans fish! The media focus on Sarah's 17-year old unmarried, pregnant daughter, then defend themselves by reporting it indicates Governor Palin is a bad, neglectful mother!

I commend Palin who countered the media bashing by putting her Down Syndrome baby, pregnant teen daughter and fiance, her hairdo and glasses, DWI husband, kids with weird names on stage after that speech, because that's who she is. She is proud and unapologetic about her family; she believes in herself and her country. Sarah Palin is a small-town American woman, with strong values and convictions, and a mother dealing with the issues that many American women face. These are the women who identify with Sarah Palin!

So go ahead, Obama campaign! Continue the sleazy tactics . . . put anyone you like on the campaign trail . . . That dirt you sling will fly right back in your face!

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- For the second time this year, mechanical problems have forced Democrat Barack Obama to change charter airplanes on short notice.

The public announcement system on Obama's leased 757 jet malfunctioned Saturday, when the plane landed without incident in Terre Haute, Ind., for a campaign event. Campaign aides said federal rules require planes carrying passengers to have working PA systems. So when Obama and his entourage of staffers, Secret Service and press left Terre Haute for Chicago, they had to switch to a smaller, 50-seat ERJ plane operated by ExpressJet.

Re my post #4 above . . . Oooops. Sarah Palin is NOT pro-choice, she is pro-life.

Guess I made the mistake because to my way of thinking . . .. the only CHOICE is Pro-life.

There's a funny piece about BO going to Bill Clinton for help from the 'Anchoress Blog' but it does contain a few "misspoken words" or inappropriate language, so I won't post it!

But, I bet ya'll would die laughing-just as I did! Anyway, in it, BC gives BO enough rope to hang himself as he tries to BEG his way into getting some help!

At the end, he calls in Hillary and BO falls to the floor!

Remember, in one of BO's speeches, just very lately, he says "They must think you're STUPID"--but, no, we think people are pretty smart--you are the STUPID one.

Hope they keep giving us doors to open up ALL his past! And present! Also, Biden is good at that--opening mouth-inserting foot!
