Default Sarah Palin, Our Energy Answer

By Lawrence Kudlow
September 4, 2008

The No. 1 economic issue this election is gasoline prices at the pump. The tax-hike effect of surging oil on global markets that has translated to a huge spike at your local gas station has drained the economy of its vitality. It has damaged consumer purchasing power, made it tougher to pay mortgages on time, worsened the credit crunch, raised the inflation rate, undermined corporate profits and thrown stocks into the first bear market in five years.

Of course, with all the political hoopla from the Denver Democrats, it's easy to forget the populist revolt against high gas prices at the pump. Sen. Obama never mentioned skyrocketing pump prices or their devastating economic impact on ordinary working-class folks. But this is the energy election. It will determine our future peace and prosperity. And Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has the energy answer: Our abundant country can produce more energy at lower cost if government gets out of the way.

if he actually gave a flip about the little person he would have mentioned it. however his gas is paid for by taxpayers and he has his head so far in the clouds that he has no idea of what is going on with the people or the economy.

that and a good many other things is why we don't need this idiot in as potus and why he will ultimately fail.

this article was pretty well on target.

Great Article!! My wife and recorded and then watched all the speeches given at the GOP convention. It was awesome to say the least. Sarah Palin is great and we have to hand it to John McCain for selecting her as VP. I have been listening to Rush and Sean and they are pumped. Rudi's speech about Obama's voting "present" 130 times, and being the least experienced person to run for president within the last 100 years. I hope that Rudi will be on the cabinet - perhaps Attorney General. Romney and Huckabee were also very impressive and made excellent points. Like Rush, I didn't want the convention to end. I just hope that McCain and Palin hit the moral differences hard as well - particularly Obama's unChristian positions on condoning infanticide (partial birth abortion) and homosexual marriages. To all who read this - please add John McCain and Sarah Palin in your prayers! God help us if Obama wins.
