There's something about outspoken conservative women that drives the left mad. It's a peculiar pathology I've reported on for more than 15 years, both as a witness and a target. Thus, the onset of Palin Derangement Syndrome in the media, Democratic circles and the cesspools of the blogosphere came as no surprise. They just can't help themselves.

Liberals hold a special animus for constituencies they deem traitors. Minorities who identify as social and economic conservatives have left the plantation and sold out their people. Women who put an "R" by their name have abandoned their ovaries and betrayed their gender. As female Republican officeholders and female conservative public figures have grown in number and visibility, so has the progression of Conservative Female Abuse. The astonishing vitriol and virulent hatred directed at GOP Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is the most severe manifestation to date.

The invective being hurled at Gov Palin is great. It simply means they are afraid of her. They know she is the perfect pick and is hurting the Rev O's chances of getting the Whitehouse.

Malkin's assertions are spot-on. These people are truly insane fanatics who hide behind the protectionist veil offered by Blogs. They decry and demean, using Alinsky's tactics to attack.

The reason the left always resorts to ad hominem attacks is that they can't argue the issues. That would tip their hand and make them completely unpalatable to the average American.

They simply can't stand the idea that any member of their selected 'victim' groups can actually be a success without them and their various big government solutions. It puts a lie to their whole program.

By the way, how come Dem women are all so ugly? Is it an outward reflection of thier inner thoughts?

Interesting article. Well put. I wish she could have written it without repeating all the garbage the left has hurled at our republican women over the years. Some I had never heard, and all I wish I hadn't. Too bad to repeat them.

Excellent Article!! Isn't it sad to see how the Democratic Party has fallen into such a terrible state of decadence? FDR and JFK must be spinning in their graves to witness such fierce and unabashed acts of slander, erosion of the Constitution with activist judges, infanticide (partial birth abortion), homosexual marriages, progressive liberalism left of socialism (including redistribution of wealth, higher and higher taxes, socialized health care), and secularism being mandated through litigation. Follow the money. The infamous atheist, George Soros, and his right arm, moveon.org are in control, surely not Obama. Obama is Soros’ puppet. God help us if Obama wins!
