Analysis: Denver seems like the Clinton Convention

(AP) -- Rarely in the history of American political conventions has the losing side received so much time and attention as this week in Denver.

Barack Obama has been forced, by the clout Hillary Rodham Clinton showed in their primary battle and his need for her voters in his race against Republican John McCain, to allow the gathering of Democrats to look a lot like the Clinton Convention.

The first day, Monday, was dominated by daylong dealmaking between the Clinton and Obama camps over ground rules for the nominating roll call.

And again we see why Obama has been described as a minnow swimming with sharks. He cannot even control his own nominating convention among his own party members. How the heck is he going to run a country?????

All I heard from these blowhards was what the Chosen One is going too do and that he was qualified to do it. Still, nothing from this group that would tell us who and what Obama is and what makes him Qualified to be POTUS.
I suppose the coronation tonight from the Obamacropolis will answer that question.

I posted this on the Thursday thread and feel that it should go here too.

I just picked up my copy of todays AJC and the headline says it is official that Obama is the nominee. What happened, did Hillary give up or didn't she have enough clout after all to take it away from him. OR - does she have other plans. I mean Obama does have to survive til the election, right. Somehow I just don't see the Clintons going quietly into the night. That would be totally out of character for
