Default The Bear Is Still In The Woods

By Doug Patton
August 18, 2008

As Barack Obama continues to remind voters in those equivocal yet reassuring tones of his why he is completely unqualified to be president, John McCain shows why he should win this election by a landslide.

The contrast between the two men during the forum at Pastor Rick Warren's Saddleback Church was stunning. As usual, Obama was tentative, vague, stammered through his answers and was simply wrong on every issue. McCain was surprisingly quick, sure of himself and knew exactly what he believed - and why. When Obama was asked what he thought about the nature of evil in our time, instead of talking about terrorism, the invasion of Georgia or the danger of a nuclear suicide state in Iran, he rambled on about child abuse in America. Asked the same question, McCain immediately pointed to Islamic extremism and naked Russian aggression.

And our lack of an energy policy exacerbates the entire situation by weakening our economy and strengthening unfriendly economies. Never fear, Bush is on the job in Crawford, Texas.

Cool Re: The Bear Is Still In The Woods

Unfortunately I missed Obama's wandering, philosophic, and sophmoric answers at Saddleback Church but I did catch McCain's answers. I though McCain was sharp and precise, while self-deprecating humorous. I am sure his $5M comment defining rich will be tossed amoung the pundits.

This would make a great commercial. I observed in the last election that the Democrats seemed to respond when softly stroked by their polititians and that Republicans seemed to respond when tough talk came from ours. McCain picked it up a notch, this is good.

Most Americans appreciate the dangers of international terrorism and the fact that a small number of people want to wreck havoc upon our country and our people. We need someone as president who has the experience and the courage to put his nation’s long term interest above his own.
At issue is whether or not Obama will place anything above his own personal ambitions and goals!

which of these two men do you think is prepared on day one to deal with the bear still lurking in the woods?

Right on the mark. I watched the "Enlightened One" stammer through the answers to questions that were not prepared in advance.
McCain was quick to answer and we knew it was coming from the heart and soul and not campaign rhetoric. He really kicked Obama's butt.
I'm sure the $5 million comment will be spewed out by every Liberal talking head but he said that in a flippant way. However is he really far off the mark? In the 21st century, Is a person even with a million dollars and say living in parts of the country where average housing costing Five to six hundred thousand dollars really rich? I'd say that $5 million would put someone really well off but not rich. Just my

I am not a McCain Fan, BUT, he did a wonderful job at the Saddleback Debate.

The Bear in the Woods Ad would be a perfect follow up for him if he is bold enough to use it. Time will tell.

I suspect that if people think at all, this will be a Landslide for McCain, since electing the Marxist (Obama) at the time of a re-awakening BEAR would be a total disaster.

I was amused and delighted to see Obama stammering his way through the answers. Of course, to his fawning supporters, stammering is merely a "thoughtful" response, i.e. he's thinking his way through it as he's talking. As opposed to McCain, who is sure of his answers before he begins speaking because he has experience and knowledge, plus the courage to say what he thinks.

Picture Obama in a meeting with Putin: Obama stammering his way through it and trying to use his charm, Putin stone-faced as usual, a man of few words on whom charm is completely lost. The Bear would eat Obama alive, Obama's last words being, "But that's because bears love us!"

Two things were notable about this question and answer session at Saddleback. First, that more was revealed about the positions of the candidates than any MSM piece so far.

Secondly, Americans had another opportunity to witness the utter ineptitude of the messiah, Hussein. The more exposure he gets, the further he falls in the public's estimation.

The contrast is so clear. The "Bear in the Woods" is excellent also. The Bear is not only outside of this Country, it is engulfed in our own elected officials, in Congress, in State government, and local officials. My hope is articles and Bear videos become the standard in the fight to get this Country back. I firmly believe that drilling and becoming oil independent alone would turn this Country around and once again be the Country our Fore Fathers meant it to be. If becoming oil independent makes the oil companies rich, who cares? this Country is more important than worrying about that!!
