Default Arctic May Hold 90 Billion Barrels of Oil, U.S. Says

(Bloomberg) -- The Arctic may hold 90 billion barrels of oil, more than all the known reserves of Nigeria, Kazakhstan and Mexico combined, and enough to supply U.S. demand for 12 years, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

One-third of the undiscovered oil is in Alaskan territory, the agency found in a study released today. By contrast, a geologic formation beneath the North Pole claimed by Russian scientists last year probably holds just 1.2 percent of the Arctic's crude, the U.S. report showed.

Energy producers such as Royal Dutch Shell Plc and Chevron Corp. have accelerated exploration of the northernmost regions for untapped reserves amid record prices and receding access to deposits in more hospitable climates. Russia's move to scrap a United Nations convention and carve out an exclusive Arctic zone sparked protests from Canada, the U.S., Norway and Denmark.

America needs to wake up and realize the Congress is overloaded with freeloaders and goldbricks who are simply going to obstruct in order to make personal gain from a situation that requires them to serve their country and honor their office, to which they were elected, not annoited.

It requires, the American public to get of their fat duffs and maintain their freedoms by maintaining their government, it requires that Americans learn that if you do not take care of your freedom it will be stolen from you by freeloaders and goldbricks in the Congress........

The Democrats just don't get the message. To them wind power would be to place sails on all cars much like ships at sea. Then at every overpass, the sails would have to come down and hand push the vehicle to the other side.
I wonder what it will take for America to quit funding terrorist groups by sending all the money to these oil producing nations?

Folks, when you find out who gets the contract to drill for all that gas, I would advise you to buy all the stock you can, because it will make you rich.

Hussein Obama's globalism is traitorous. What we need is good old-fashioned Americanism. Let us drill in ANWR and ignore the wearisome fascists who want us to check in with everyone on the planet and handcuff ourselves with the mind-numbing charade of the UN. We can and should be drilling as we speak, and providing ALL of our own oil, even selling the surplus to nations who are friendly with us. Environmentalists have been totally counterproductive in their input in this nation. Forget them. Forget Greenpeace and tree-huggers. On with the drilling and on with self-sufficiency in this nation. No more kissing the backsides of the Arabs with phony kings. No more ships sailing perilous seas and harbors to bring us what we need. Drill inland and drill all around our nation. China is drilling just off our coasts; why can't we? Idiocy.

After writng to one of my senators, I found there is only enough oil to last for 6 months and it will take about 10 years to get the oil.
