Default McCain may be zeroing in on a running mate

By TOM RAUM
Associated Press
July 23, 2008

ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Yet another town-hall meeting isn't doing the trick. Neither is dropping in on a former Republican president. So just what can John McCain do to draw attention away from his showy Democratic rival? Pick a running mate, perhaps.

Speculation swirled Tuesday that McCain might name his vice presidential partner within the next few days -- right in the middle of Barack Obama's overseas tour.

McCain aides were not helping tamp down the speculation with their comments, often made late in the afternoon, of "no announcement today."

Actually, he should volunteer to be Obama's Veep. That would get him plenty of coverage.

Let's face it, the major networks (A ll B arack C ampaign, et al) and the major print media are going to do everything they can to see Obama elected.

McCain had better wise up and take the fight to the people. Sadly, McCain is no fighter.

Limping and waving his arms in a frantic way the old RINO is not yelling loud enough for the jerks in the press to hear him, he fails to comply with the liberal David Shippley's demands of editorial compliance in order for him to mirror the Messaiah's previous editorial in the NYT. Holy moly Batman, what next!

McCain makes little use of the available conservative media facilities and cannot seem to stop taking shots at the party conservatives, shooting one's self in the foot is his favorite sport, for some reason he thinks this is a manly gentleman thing to do in order to prove his maverick label. To make this critique a short summary, The man hasn't got a strategy for whipping this young idiot he is running against, which tells all his becoming POTUS would be as much a struggle to get this nation on it's feet as Obama's would be to put it on it's back. What is the campaign slogan, RIP?

Come the revolution.......... ....hombre!

Personally, I'm hoping he chooses Mitt Romney. He was my second choice for the presidential slot after Tom Tancredo!

I think he should wait for BHO and the DIMS to make their choice!
He might then have an opportunity to seriously upstage those fools.
He will certainly need same, as he has done very little thusfar.

I have emailed the McCain camp... He needs to head up to ANWR, take Fox News with him and change his mind about drilling there.....

I despair at his lack of enthusiasum in his campaign.....
