The Sky Is Falling On Gore Again
By Henry Lamb
July 22, 2008
Al Gore has certainly secured his place in history. His Academy-Award-Pulitzer-Prize-winning prediction that climate change will raise sea levels by 20 feet will be studied by future history students, along with the predictions of Malthus and Paul Ehrlich.
With Gore-like zeal, in the 19th century, Malthus predicted that the world's population would soon outstrip the world's food supply. In the 20th century, Paul Ehrlich predicted that, "By 1985 enough millions will have died to reduce the earth's population to some acceptable level, like 1.5 billion people."
He also predicted that by 1980, life expectancy in the United States would drop to 42, and that the U.S. population would drop to 22.6 million by 1999.

In his book, Killer Angle, George Grant talks about how Margaret Sanger adopted the teachings of Malthus.

This is why Liberals don't really want to talk about race. I know this treads main topic is not about race but when you mention Malthus in any subject it does tie everything together. The Liberal press will use any means to distract and discourage us from seeing that.

Re: The Sky Is Falling On Gore Again
I especially like Al Goof's home energy policy: since making his home more environmentally friendly in Spring 2007, the Goofs have used, on average, an additional 1638 KwHs/month (totalling 17768 KwHs/mo) since June '07.
That's 232 X more than the average US household.
We use about 400 KwH/mo, but have no central heat nor AC in our 6500 ft sq house.

Re: The Sky Is Falling On Gore Again
Of course Gore strikes out. He has an agenda that has nothing to do with the science of global climate change.
Here are a couple of findings by reputable scientists that the MSM WILL NOT tell you. Or if they do the bury it in the back pages and then let Gore and his politically motivated ilk have their say on page one.
1 - Studies of ice core samples, tree rings, and other long term indicators clearly show that the CO2 level in past warmups rose as a result of the warming, not the other way around as the politico's would have you think.
This is not to say that man is not having some influence since the industrial age but it is not nearly as important as the sunspot cycles. Even if man totally cleaned up his act it would not stop climate change from sun spot activity. In fact we are entering into the heavy part of at least two of the three major sunspot cycles and we can see the results in the next few years to a decade as these cycles peak and then slowly fade away. The real danger is if these cycles cause tipping points to be reached and create some positive feedback loops to start up. There are at least five of the positive feedback loops we need to worry about that I know of. But they are too complex to write about in this short space. If you do some googling on some of the items I mentioned you can do your own research with a fair degree of ease.
2 - The sun spot cycles have a direct correlation with global climate even before man was on the scene. The more sun spots the warmer the climate becomes. It has more to do with a shift in spectral output than with an increase in totla energy output. The spectral shift in high sun spot activity times allows the energy reaching the earth to heat the land and sea more and to penetrate the ice better to cause melting from the lower levels up. If the ice is thin enough the ground under it is warmed more causing melting from the ground level and that is what we are seeing in the areas where the ice is not miles thick. The runoff of the melt is coming out in streams from the underside next to the ground the ice sits on.
There are some short term climatic disasters not associated with sun activity but they are only a few years long and from things like asteroid and comet strikes in the earth's distant past.
The most important climate changes have been graphed alongside graphs of sunspot activity. Other than the aforementioned few strikes from space debris the two graphs track nearly perfectly.

It's easy to buy into the he's just nuts theory and dismiss him as a loony tunes. In reality, he’s not. His zeal is driven by his pocket book. What's really frightening - Gore doesn’t care that he harms his country and his countrymen. He is a greedy, lying, petty #%$#@!

Re: The Sky Is Falling On Gore Again
Something is amiss in the smelly political world of energy, what I mean is that why would a man of T.B. Pickens caliber be suggesting that a total scam artist like Algore be used as an energy czar whilst under the auspices of a B.O. presidency?
I ask of all you kind, smart and suspicious folks that a look at such an idea of this taking place would it be wise, does it not seem to you it's time to "Follow the MONey"? What do you think a wealthy man like T.B.P. is up to with a sidekick like Algore?

And it's not just the money-mad (I have a theory that he's trying to out-lucre Slick) head of the Chicken Little Gang, Pickens' radio ads are practically verbatim Democrat talking points. I have another theory. The Dems have a video of Pickens in a hotel room with a 15 y.o. hooker. I got more theories, want to hear 'em? Sigh. Nobody appreciates my brilliant ideas.

However the real truth is that the rocks were all used up by the Gore types to fill up their heads. But that is typical of the liberal whackos. They do something to "cure" a nonexistant problem and in the process create a real problem they can pass more insane laws to fix.
But there is a principle at work here that I applied to my industrial repair business. "If you try to fix a problem that does not exist or fix a real problem before you know what is actually causing it you end up with more problems than you started with and they are harder to fix". I tried to teach that principle to my customers but the ones who refused to learn it provided me with a considerable amount of extra income when they finally decided to call me in.
