Default Oil is making millionaires in North Dakota

By JAMES MacPHERSON
Associated Press
July 1, 2008

BEULAH, N.D. (AP) -- Oscar Stohler was raised in a sod house in western North Dakota and ranched there for nearly seven decades. He never gave much thought to what lay below the grass that fattened his cattle.

When oilmen wanted to drill there last year, Stohler, 83, doubted oil would be found two miles underground on his property. He even joked about it.

"I told them if they hit oil, I was going to buy a Cadillac convertible and put those big horns on the front and wear a 10-gallon hat," Stohler recalled.

He still drives his old pickup and wears a mesh farm cap -- but it's by choice.

Good, I hope we hear about a lot of Jed Clampett type americans from the heartland getting rich. I would much rather see Americans get rich than member nations of Opec who are mostly antagonists of the U.S. I hope other Americans who live on possible energy rich lands hear about North Dakota and force their politicians to get on the exploration band wagon.

What? could it be that only last year they wanted to drill? But all the Dummycrats say it would be 5 years before we see oil if we drilled anywhere Today.
Maybe so off coast or ANWR but not so in many areas of the USA.

There has been over 450 new oil permit requests in the Los Angeles basin alone. Some estimates put the amount of oil at 9 Billion barrels.

We can get ourselves out of this mess. If only John McCain would embrace this issue.

If we do nothing, hold onto your seats - a serious recession is coming early next year.

So are the Democrat going to stop lying that the Oil Companies are not looking for oil here on US soil.

Probably not.
