Tenn. GOP mocks Michelle Obama's 'proud' remark
By ERIK SCHELZIG
Associated Press
May 16, 2008
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Republican Party ''welcomed'' Michelle Obama's visit for a fundraiser Thursday night with an online video that takes the Democratic presidential front-runner's wife to task for a comment some considered unpatriotic.
Michelle Obama was campaigning in Wisconsin last February for her husband, Barack Obama, when she said: ''For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country.''
The four-minute video posted on YouTube is built around the remark, replaying it six times and interspersing it with commentary by Tennesseans, identified mostly by their first names, on why they are proud of America.

Re: Tenn. GOP mocks Michelle Obama's 'proud' remark
Loved the video ad - especially the view of the gun racks on the wall.
Possibly Michelle Obama's ugly and bitter mouth could work to our advantage.
Wish someone would ask her if she was proud of America when her salary in Chicago (can't remember which flunky organization) went from about $100M to $300M after "big ears" won election to the US Senate?
Hope I'm not mistaken, but it seems as if the baggage is piling up.

What? Attacking members of Barack's family is off-base? The woman is stumping for the guy! She is a "surrogate!" What she said, she said in Milwaukee AT a political rally! Michelle Obama, YOU are FAIR game! So, if you thought America in 2008 is a "downright mean" country, then, "sweetie," you better put on a helmet and a raincoat, because we are going to critcize you every time you open your:

America is Mean? I cannot imagine Michelle Obama as our first lady, I have a more ladylike person in mind for first lady, Some one sweet and feminen and ready to be positive, not someone who is so negitive.

Politics is such a dirty game!
They can say or do anything they choose, but we are never supposed to call attention to what they say, particularly if it puts them in a bad light.
It must be nice to be a Dem.

Hmmmm, don't know if it would be too nice to be a Dem, Luckyme, what with having to clean the crap out of your drawers couple-three times a day...

Michelle Obama is an example of a liberal shrew. Like Barbara Streisand who threatened to move to England when Bush won the election. One can only hope that Michelle will move there, too, along with hubby, when McAmnesty wins. I am voting for , but I will gag while doing so.

Oh, please! If they don't want her statements examined or criticized, she should stay off the campaign trail. These people are much too thin-skinned to run a Cub Scout meeting, let alone the country.

Re: Tenn. GOP mocks Michelle Obama's 'proud' remark
BOOO HOOO HOOO, here they go again, putting their foot in their mouth (or as I see it, a Freudian slip), getting called on it and crying they are picking on me. You know, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Obama is one DANGEROUS potential president. If he wins we are truly doomed.
I am proud to be an AMERICAN ALWAYS. That doesn't mean I am proud of what my government does. I am ashamed of them with their creedo as politics first, America last. While they don't come out and say it, that is what they do. But again, I am proud to be an AMERICAN!!!
