Democrats outraged by Bush "appeasement" remark
Democrats outraged by Bush "appeasement" remark - By Steve Holland
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrats erupted in outrage on Thursday after President George W. Bush suggested a pledge by the party's presidential front-runner Barack Obama to meet Iran's leader was akin to appeasement of Nazi Germany.
Bush's comments, made in Jerusalem to the Israeli parliament during celebrations for Israel's 60th anniversary, stirred up the campaign for the November election and prompted Obama to accuse him of engaging in "the politics of fear."
"Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along," Bush said.

*What's the contrived outrage over, Dems? Isn't that what the man said? Didn't Obama say that as president he'd talk to that anti-semetic madman Ahmadinejad? And didn't your boy Jimmy the Peanut actually go and talk to Hamas? Can't take the truth, can you Dems? You hate-driven traitors aren't known as 'The Treason Lobby' for nothing, so let's not be playing the sanctimonious indignation game when you're brought face to face with who you really are. Hear this you loudmouthed blowhards: We who love America aren't intimidated by you twisted left-wing fanatics and you are not going to turn this country into a European socialist satellite. So take your phony self-righteous liberal rhetoric and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Re: Democrats outraged by Bush "appeasement" remark
It is so good to see President Bush calling a "SPADE" a "SPADE".
If the Democrats of 2008 don't surrender America to the terrorists, they will get us all "killed".
As Colonel Troutman said in the movie "RAMBO", "I hope you have a good supply of body bags".
Democrats, have some cheese with your "WHINE"!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The truth may hurt, but it doesn't stop it from being true.

Re: Democrats outraged by Bush "appeasement" remark
The pattern is being set for the campaign--ANY criticism of Obama's positions on issues is going to be met with s of "Racist Bigot"!! as the fit hits the Shan.
Hannity quoted from Obama's own web site, in which he stated that he would talk to these Hitlers and Stalins.
Of course that's why Hamas has endorsed Obama for President.

Obama says Bush falsely accused him of appeasement
Quote:
By LIZ SIDOTI
Associated Press
May 16, 2008
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Barack Obama accused President Bush of ''a false political attack'' Thursday after Bush warned in Israel against appeasing terrorists -- early salvos in a general election campaign that's already blazing even as the Democratic front-runner tries to sew up his party's nomination.
The White House denied Bush had targeted Obama, who said the Republican commander in chief's intent was obvious.
In short order, the controversy spilled across the presidential campaign.
John McCain, the Republican nominee in waiting, said Obama was showing ''naivete and inexperience and lack of judgment'' in his willingness to meet with U.S. foes.

"Get Real" Mr. Obama. The President's comments could have been directed at several political and media figures who are more prominent than you. Since you have very few original thoughts or comments, your whining is just one attempt (by you) to get more publicity from a media who likes to create stories where none exist.

Re: Democrats outraged by Bush "appeasement" remark
Aren't the Democrats becoming just a tad paranoid?
President Bush didn't name anyone in his speech. The democrats just assumed he was talking about them--most likely because they know they are guilty.
I wish the democrats could be forced to tell us what they would say to the various crazy dictators (Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Kim, etc).
Carter and Clinton tried that in N Korea and gave away the store with no appreciable benefit to the US.

Re: Democrats outraged by Bush "appeasement" remark
Of course they are outraged. The used-to-be hamble puching bag suddenly showed his teeth. That doesn't correspond with their play-book. Unfortunately, the Bush team seems to realize their "blunder" and they are not going to continue with absolutely correct definition: yes, the left Demunists are indeed appeasers. Sadly, Bush is going to retreat - again.
Moreover, by hysterical yelling, those guys publicly admitted the righteousness of the definition. Bush didn't name names - but the names themselves revealed the “secret”.
There is a Russian saying: "The thief's hat bursts into flames"

Re: Democrats outraged by Bush "appeasement" remark
There will be no negotiations that are meaningful with iran, or the radical Muslims. They simply want Islam to rule the world, and be the only law there is. They have said, as I have seen in videos, called Islam, on Goggle TV and Movies, they do not want free speach, they do not want liberals, they do not want voting, they want Shia laws and Islam. They will kill anyone who disagrees. Period. They are paitient. They have infiltrated Europe with 54 million Muslims, they have infiltrated India, China, Russia, the United States, Austrialia, South East Asia, and some parts of South America. Take Euorpe, If only .01% are radical, thats a army of 540,000 terrorists. Scary huh. The president of Iran talked very calmly in one video I watched, stating they would re-conqueror the wold from mountain top to mountain top. And kill any and all who would not accept Islam. This war will take a long, long time to win. All Western Countries are targeted even if they are not willing to fight it. Look at Spain.
