Default Tribune Covers For Obama's Terrorist Friends

By Cliff Kincaid
May 8, 2008

The Chicago Tribune, which once employed Barack Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod, is refusing to publish the truth about a Weather Underground terrorist bombing that killed a policeman. The paper apparently does not want to tarnish the image of Obama friends Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, who were allegedly part of or had direct knowledge of the bombing plot that also injured several other police officers. The Tribune considers Ayers an education expert and has published various articles by him.

Please help Accuracy in Media expose the Tribune's cover-up.

I sent a copy of the following email message to Tribune reporter Liam Ford on April 27. He was the co-author of an article that consisted of a series of questions and answers about Ayers, the communist terrorist who became a friend of Obama's and helped launch Obama's political career. My message said:

Obama should be renamed the "Teflon man" nothing sticks and he is fire proof. We can not afford to stay at home this November and let this man be our leader. It is appalling to all that fought and died for this country. He has to much baggage with him and we will see ayers in the White house if he gets the job . I would not leave out the possiblity that Wright may get a post in the cabinet , now would that be great, a hater of America serving this country? no he would try his best to bring it down . I hope there is enough old people left with sense enough to vote against him in November .

Obama's feathers have already been TARnished to the point that it will be difficult for him to fly responsibly into any responsible office let alone the presidency.

Where are the police on this issue? Why are not Ayers and Dohrn in jail? When police lose one of their own, they usually investigate aggressively.

Just when did the requirement that Presidential candidates have good judgement get thrown out the window? I suppose it was when the left leaning media decided that it was time to stop being "journalists" and insert their own political opinions into the news, even if it meant covering up a candidate's messes (much like an animal covering it's waste).

We can thank the Internet and a pitifully few good publications for getting the truth out that would otherwise be ignored or covered up in some stinking hole.

No one who has any moral values can afford to sit home sulking on November 4th, because his or her candidate of choice is not on the ballot. I am as disgusted as many conservatives who find it necessary to (again) make a choice of the lesser of evils. As "flawed" as John McCain is, he will definitely be my candidate in November.

Angry Re: Tribune Covers For Obama's Terrorist Friends

The contents of this article are chilling. The very thought of having a candidate (Obama)aligned with forces dedicated to overthrowing this nation and placing it in the hands of American terrorists is ugly, but even more upsetting when the realization is that Obama will probably be the Dems candidate in the general election with their full blessings.

Just as disturbing is the depth of the deception that Obama and his supporters are willing to embrace to achieve success.

I seem to recall Obama speaking of "civil disobedience" lately. Perhaps this article outlines accetped practices . . .

Just as deceptive, in his own way, is McCain trying to convince Republicans that his personal agenda for this country is the "right" one.

I've said this many times before and will state my case once again. McCain is unwilling to listen to reason or bend on any issue that's in opposition to his views. Specifically the issue of giving citizenship to illegal immigrants. He was taking a softer approach on the subject a few months ago, but now that he's the GOP candidate he's back on track pushing the subject of "comprehensive immigration" down our throats.

If I was financially "set", as are all of the presidential candidates, I too could afford to be ignorant of the facts surrounding the illegal immigration issue. Regardless of the outcome, these people will live comfortably while the rest of us will pay, dearly, for their enforcing new law giving American citizenship to milllions of illegals. You can take that to the bank!!

Although I despise Obama and think his administration will become the next gangster cult in this country I will not support McCain!!!

So are you going to just sit and pout the next 4 years?

I'm sorry Leslie, that just doesn't make a bit of sense to me.

As for the Chicago Spittoon, what should we expect from far left liberal journalists? This newspaper and their liberal counterparts are becoming so irrelevant as they are exposed to the world on a daily basis.

Did anyone expect a fair fight from the far left? I just hope McCain is trying to grow some larger cahonies to take on this communist regime he will be dealing with in the general election.

Perhaps this Ayres situation is one of the reasons that Hillary is so doggedly staying in the race. Maybe insiders know that a political time-bomb is ticking and ready to explode.

I do love the smell of napalm in the morning.

So you would rather have Obama in the White House than McCain. Because that is exactly what will happen...even if you vote third party. McCain is flawed but he will give us COnservative Justices (I hope)...but we know what BHMO will give us...a disaster

I think that is why HillBill is saying in - she is expecting a meltdown if and when this comes out. It's not like BO only knew him - he partied at this guy's house, besides working with him.

God help us and our troops if BO is our new C-in-C!

Why Ayers has not ben prosecuted is a mystery. Leaving aside the San Francisco incident, he's admitted complicity in other bombings and although the statute of limitations would apply, he was indicted long ago, nullifying that protection for him.

This is just another example of the sloppy job the Bush Justice Department has handled, mishandled, or taken no action on.
