Default Democrat Primaries A Microcosm Of Socialist Thinking

By Doug Patton
May 6, 2008

As I write this, Democrats in the states of Indiana and North Carolina are poised to express their preferences in the ongoing primary slugfest between U.S. Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama. Which of them wins is of little importance. What counts, as with all things liberal, is fairness.

A generation ago, Democrats decided that fairness outweighed the need for an orderly process that actually produced a viable candidate for President of the United States. Following the 1968 debacle in Chicago, the party rigged the system so that never again would their bigwigs be denied a voice in the presidential nominating convention.

Angry Re: Democrat Primaries A Microcosm Of Socialist Thinking

Quite honestly, I see little difference between the two current Democrats running for the presidential nomination of their party and our Republican candidate, MCCain.

I feel like Alice must have felt in Wonderland when it comes to the politics concerning our choices for President this time around.

Just because the Republican primary elections were brought to a swift conclusion, doesn't mean it was done right or to the satisfaction of the voters.

Bottom line: all three of the current presidental wannabe's are going to sink the immigration lifeboat by loading it up with too many people. Result - this nation, and all in it, will be drowning soon thanks to Hillary, Obama AND McCain . . .

In my opinion we have three chances for a true Republican President in 2008. Slim chance, fat chance and no chance!!

Well I totally agree with this article. We have a person here in our office who is a complete socialist and is totally for Obama, what an idiot. Us conservatives here have tried to talk to him but he knows everything. He is always talking about how the rich are taking away from him. What gets me is the socialists that are in office always talk about taking away from the rich, will they take away from themselves to make them equal to the working person? You can bet not.

How do we get reasonable Dems to see this, tho? I actually had a friend say about Hillary, that "at least she'd be spending our taxes on health care for everyone instead of this insane war!" This is from an older, reasonable (usually) woman! I try to convert one voter at a time to get them to see that gov't programs really cost us all, but sometimes I just don't think I can get them to see reason! (sigh)

Nothing is free. Nothing is free. Nothing is free. Please, dimwit democrats, repeat after me: Nothing is free.

When will they ever learn. Actually, they know this, but prefer to punish whomever they feel needs to be punished, and then just look the other way as the cost is passed on to us, the consumer.

Why should Senators clinton and obama care. They won't have to pay at the pumps. Another example is their health care options, which are not the same as we have. And, of course, they don't sweat Social Security, do they. Why should they, with the plan they wrote for themselves.

Lightbulb Re: Democrat Primaries A Microcosm Of Socialist Thinking

Look, for over 50 years the Dems have trended leftward toward state control and sliding into a Third World status. Yet, the 'dependence' crowd, the non-productive crowd' are registering Dem as fast as they can. Whether it is illegals, or felons, or silly Indies, as a class, Pubs are being hugely outregistered by Dems and it is not Pubs re-registering as in Operation Chaos, it is simply that the liberals have fooled our voters into speaking as enviros, greens, wanting comfort from the cradle to the grave. Frankly, I think Bush and the Pubs after 8 years of partial rule have blown it. McCain may indeed just win by an inch in the Prez race in Nov., but, the down ticket races will be a disaster. So, though the Dems are true socialists now, it appears as if the voter is being swept along in this Marxian answer to their problems. And if Pubs become socialists too, the disaster will be like a volcano. Since Pubs rarely defend themselves as free enterprise , pro-military, pro-individualism candidates, please tell me just how Republicans are supposed to attract not only new voters but those who are conflicted and confused as to our history and heritage!!

Actually, the jackass party primaries are a demonstration of socialism in action.

What rank and file Dems fail to understand is that they're being led around by the nose by a self appointed elite who really believe they're smarter than anyone else around. They never question their own fallibility because it simply couldn't be, considering how much more intelligent they are than anyone else. One only has to read or hear the condescending comments of Hussein at the fund raiser in San Francisco to know that.

Look at the source of Dem support: Blacks who've been bamboozled into believing that the jackass party is the only one that cares, union members who want protection for their overpaid and government-protected status, those receiving government grants and subsidies, and the over-educated who got through four or more years of college by submitting to the bullying of socialist 'teachers'.

None of the above are capable of independent thought and they welcome the idea of an elite group like the super delegates in case they get confused and accidentally make an incorrect decision.

In a few words:

'garbage in, garbage out' !!!!

And the majority of Americans are buying into it.
Says a lot about the education system in our country doesn't it ---- it produces a lot of people who can't think for themselves, which is just what the dems' want. Sounds like brainwashing the American people into socialism, communism, Marxism, fascism and then islamism to follow. And that is exactly
their great strategy ---- make no mistake about it !!!!

A sad day in America, and for those who love it.

A question was raised earlier: "How do we convince these people, (democrats) ...?"

Honestly, you can't. The old axiom that Liberalism is a mental disorder I believe is true. Psychological tests determined that the mind of a person believing in liberal causes is different than those that do not. Now the doctors didn't state which group was "abnormal" as a result of the tests, but knowing what the liberal democrats stand and believe in leaves little doubt.

Liberals will devise any response necessary to diffuse, obfuscate and/or distort a fact. Some of my own family members are democrats. Family gatherings are sans political discussions. Facts seem to scare them to death and they all wish the worst fate possible for Pres. Bush.

And the turkey is usually overcooked.

Doug,

I liked the points you made in your article, but one is misleading to the mostly uninformed, "Never mind that corporations don't pay taxes; people pay taxes. " Corporations pay 1/3 of the taxes and people pay the rest. More importantly US corporations are the highest taxed of any industrialized nation.

Want to see prosperity, reduce corporate taxes and allow writoffs in one year vice amortizement.
