Default Blame Clinton And The Greens For Gas Prices

By Henry Lamb
April 28, 2008

With gas prices now yon-side of $3.50 per gallon, wouldn't it be great to have an extra million barrels of domestic oil flowing daily into the American pipeline? Blame William Jefferson Clinton, who vetoed a bill in 1995 that would have opened the Alaska reserves that could have been producing much needed domestic energy today.

Blame the green environmental extremists who block every effort to expand domestic energy supply, whether in off-shore oil reserves, expansion of clean coal production, or the construction of new nuclear energy facilities. It's just plain dumb to allow the shortage of readily available energy to drive prices so high that the entire economy and food supply are in jeopardy.

Quote:
Big oil is not to blame for the high price of gasoline; the blame must fall squarely in the lap of the environmental extremists who use propaganda and fear-mongering to block the increases in the production of readily available fossil fuels. There are sufficient reserves of coal to last about 200 years. Despite Jimmy Carter's 1970s declaration that the world would be out of oil by 2000, and considering the anticipated increase in demand, there are enough known oil reserves to last at least 60 years. This energy should be available now.
The environmental extremists and B. Clinton is to blame for not drilling for US oil.

Jimmy Carter telling us that the world would run out of Coal is only one of his many lies to Americans.

Thumbs up Re: Blame Clinton And The Greens For Gas Prices

All the envirolmentist and Billy is to blame for this mess we are in, and if they don't start drilling soon, we will have 5.oo gasoline. Did you all see the truck parade in Wash. today? You will probably see more demonstrations like that before it gets better.

Thumbs down Re: Blame Clinton And The Greens For Gas Prices

A large part of the green movement appears to be a shell organization.
IE., Florida boating causes oil/gas emissions polluting water--props strike manatees, aka, sea cows, a protected species. Permits to build your boat dock became rare or impossible as a dock = boat=prop marks on manatees. Sea Cows eat over 300 pounds of sea grasses daily, pulled out by roots. Fishes/eggs have no place to hide. Enviros try re-planting more sea grass, (little success) to contine the cycle.
Parks were (job creation) built for tourists to view these creatures "in the wild." Since manatees cannot live in cold waters, they artificially warmed the water coming from power plants to lure manatees to these man made tourist attractions. Natural food supplies were quickly eaten--lettuce is hauled in for feed.
Parking fees and trinkets are sold at each location. Tourists cannot afford the gas to reach these locations, or the fees to be entertained on the parks and rec boats launched for tourists to view the West Indies manatees.. Air search of these creatures reveal more than can be counted without photos from Ttitusville to Belize.
This job creation is ultimately destroying boat industry, expensive or non-existant dock permits (taken over by Fish & Wildlife), destroyed natural sea grasses and fish populations, now blamed on overfishing.

You know, the almighty dollar is a funny thing. What people wont do to get a bunch of people to pay to see some manatees swim around, when they can get a boat and go out and see porpoise swimming and jumping. Then they have to heat water so they can keep thos mammels around so they can get people to spend more money. Then they have a problem with the fish population, because they mess up the spawning places for fish to survive.People will spend their money on anything, if you can advertise enough to draw them in, just like Disney, but Disney couldn't survive, and they has to be bought or buy out some other business to make a go of it.Who owns disney today,ABC ,or are they owned by some other outfit.I know Florida survives on tourism, as the Senator Nelson will let you know, and without that, they would have to start paying income taxes in order for the government to survive. It is one vicious cycle, and to try to protect a manatee, so I could go see one[we had one in mobile bay a month ago], which I wouldn't spend a nickle to see.I can watch the animal channel and see them free. We are a wonderful country, but there has to be a better way to survive.
