Bush Raises Temp On Global Warming

The last months of a presidential administration are often dangerous. Presidents -- looking to their legacies -- go to desperate lengths to try to enhance their reputations for posterity. A pungent example of such practices by the Bush administration was reported above the fold on the front page of The Washington Times Monday: "Bush prepares global warming initiative."

Oh, dear. Just as an increasing number of scientists are finding their courage to speak out against the global warming alarmists and just as a building body of evidence and theories challenge the key elements of the human-centric carbon-based global warming theories, George W. Bush takes this moment to say, in effect: "We are all global alarmists now."

But he always tried desperately to "reach the other side of the isle". And the unprecedented hatred is the only reaction he gets from the other side. Similarly, terrorists strike more often when they see humble opponents-suckers. The left, even being the dominant part of the establishment, still have the subversive/terrorist mentality. And that is what Bush has never understood, unfortunately. Otherwise, without casting pears before swines, he would be more consistent and had all chances to become one of the best Presidents ever, if not the best.

My heart just sank when I heard the president say we have to do something about global warming. He staved it off all through his presidency. I can't believe he's doing it now. As Blankley says, "he must be lookiing for a legacy."

I was aghast at his efforts to give amnesty to illegals but this even puts that in the shade.

Good grief, Mr. President! Please reconsider. Why make a fool of yourself like Al Gore, who will look like the global village idiot when this whole thing shakes out.

I for one think global warming is BS, but I'm willing to look at all the facts. Why can't we DEBATE this in an open forum. Have some of the top scientists from both sides debate this subject so we may come to a factual conclusion once and for all. Come on, we already see the prices of fuel and food going up and there is no limit in sight. Let's debate global warming.

The whole theory is built on a mathematical model rather than on facts. It's all arbitrary! I'll offer another model - and you have an opposite scenario.

And here is the tragedy: Republicans do not have a strategy to be accepted by both the base and elite - maximum pre-election tactics and techniques. If they had, any candidate (and President) would seek legasy in following that strategy, not in copying the opponents' tricks ...

The evidence is overwhelming. Global warming is here and we ARE the cause. The United States. We owe the world for sucking up all of its resources. Every time you drive your car, and turn on your A/C, you are causing this planet to self destruct....blah, blah, blah.

Ugh...I am so tired of the lack of debate. I am not given to conspiracy theories, but this entire issue is contrived by the globalists (including Pres Bush) who want to replace our sovereignty with a one-world organization.

In this case, the evidence is overwhelming. The Law of Sea Treaty, the unwillingness to close our borders, turning North America into a Euro-Socialist economy, and now Global Warming.

If we do not put a stop to this, the United States is going to be an entirely different place for our children and grandchildren.

I am a scientist, I have a bachelor's degree in Physics. Compare that to al-Gore's education - dropped out of divinity school! He has absolutlely NO scientific background and the advocates of Man-made Global Warming are elitist without science backgrounuds. However the GOVERNMENTAL Leaders think that the real scientists are wrong on the science.
Here is the synposis: al-Gore cried wolf, then sheeply idiots followed. Then he cried louder and made a horror 'cult-flic' fantasy film and called the lie a truth. Then scientist started arguing that the science was flawed and then the horrorists-terrorist al-Gore called them deniers. Then politicians started subsidies for the corn and sugar growers to grow food for fuel. Then we are told to use mercury poisoned light bulbs instead of incandecents. Then the oil prices rise ,by political design, so that we would use less. Then we discover that it cost more energy to produce ethanol that it provides and it provides less fuel efficiency than Gasoline. Then we find out that the bread we eat is more costly because the wheat fields are being used to grow CORN for the cornball idea of fuel. Now we know that ethanol puts MORE CO2 into the air than gasoline!!!
Now there is a food shortage!!
Riots are breaking out because the the terrorist al-Gore.

Now our own al-Queda-fighting president has gotten on board with the terrorist al-Gore.

CO2 does not cause global warming. GLOBAL WARMING is caused by the SUN and GLOBAL WARMING causes increased CO2 and CO2 causes plants to grow so that we can have MORE FOOD!! God gave us Oil to burn and congress has given us &^*#^&%&$#!

These 's have ruined the economy and the food supply and the oil prices and your life! when is it going to stop.

Tell your congress man that he/she had better stop this madness and stupidity or their political careers are over!!!!
