Bipartisan Crimes Against The Constitution
By Cliff Kincaid
March 4, 2008
The liberals have come up with a clever way of ratifying dangerous treaties, which now require a two-thirds vote (67) to pass in the Senate. They will introduce them as legislation, requiring only a majority vote to pass. The model for this new approach is the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which President Bush mistakenly refers to as a treaty.
Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have been portrayed by our media as being opposed to it. In fact, they want to make NAFTA stronger. They want to renegotiate the pact and attach binding commitments and strong enforcement mechanisms on labor and environmental issues. In effect, the Democrats are calling for NAFTA to assume even more supranational authority over economic activity in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. This could be the next step on the road to a proposed North American Union.

Re: Bipartisan Crimes Against The Constitution
It would appear that we need to wake up - and fast!! Our supposed "representatives " in Washington are selling our country "DOWN THE RIVER"! It seems that there have been many, many -closed door session, secret midnight votes etc. that have been passed without "WE THE PEOPLES APPROVAL"! They dispise our Constitution - and just do what ever they want - especially if it benifits THEM - but screws us!

Re: Bipartisan Crimes Against The Constitution
It seems more and more, our Constitution is being used as a guideline and nothing more.
We must wake up and demand better from our political leaders.

Re: Bipartisan Crimes Against The Constitution
This is major league scary, folks! It seems the biggest point of agreement between our leaders on the right and their leaders on the left, is that these United States must dissolve into the global identity, and forsake all our ideals as commonplace and unworthy of special consideration. What we have here is straight - ahead constitutional failure. Despite repeated demonstrations of our superior system of government, in the name of humility, we have ceded away our very existence.
When the glorious "One World" falls under tyrannical rule, people will reminisce about that once shining city on the hill, and wonder where it all went wrong. Well, here is where it is going wrong, folks! If we don't stop it, our grandchildren will suffer, have no doubt!
The Law of the Sea Treaty is top-of-the-list- more-important-than-the-borders, danger! Especially since its so below the radar in the press. We need no less than our "No Amnesty", activism here!
These guys are looking at this like a standard "mergers and acquisitions" deal, but it isn't a matter of merging or acquiring. It is a matter of discarding en masse the work of the founders, in hopes that something better might result. Hopes are fine when they are defined, and destructive when they are not!
"Hope" for "change" for the "future", is disaster, when not defined, . . and worse when disguised!

Re: Bipartisan Crimes Against The Constitution
People, it is fine to express your concerns in this post site, but you have to go further. You have to contact your representatives and Senators. They are your spokesmen in Washington, and are the only ones that can do anything about it This is another good reason for electing Republicans to the Presidency, House and Senate. This is the only way we as citizens can stop something, like we as a whole stopped the immigration bill.Pressure is the only thing that Wash. understands. Let's get with the program.

Re: Bipartisan Crimes Against The Constitution
elmerck1, you seem to be more preoccupied with getting another republican in the white house, than saving the country. Hopefully not another one that wants open borders, any form of amnesty, the North American Highway (right thru beautiful Texas), mexican trucks on our highways, the North American Union (Do you know a joint military agreement was done with Canada?), and on and on. Tancredo, Hunter, Thompson would have been super by us; anyone but McCain; though he does have time to come to his UNITY senses and sign on with Bobby Eberle's superb Contract with Conservatives. Guaranteed if McCain just signs on with the illegal immigration part (ALL OF IT), that should do it. Problem is, he won't and maybe because he may not be out to win. What kind of candidate would intentionally go and repeatedly insult the party base. Well, a liberal one (except for a winding down war); that kind. By the way, have you signed on with Eberle's "Contract"? If not, please get with the real program. We have.
