We’ve spent eight years gearing ourselves up for a fight, and we haven’t been educating our kids.

OK, so we need to take more billions and billions from "the rich" and redistribute them to foreign dictators to educate their children.

All those $$ would just wind up in the dictators' Swiss bank accounts, and not 1 penny would reach the kids.

Michelle Obama Clarifies 'proud' Remark

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- The wife of Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama sought Wednesday to clarify her comment that for the first time she's really proud of her country.

On Monday, Michelle Obama told an audience in Milwaukee that ''For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country. Not just because Barack is doing well, but I think people are hungry for change.'' Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential contender John McCain, later sought to capitalize on the remark, saying ''I have, and always will be, proud of my country.''

Asked by WJAR-TV if she would like to clarify her comment, Obama replied that she has been struck by the number of people going to rallies and watching debates, as well as record voter turnouts.

It's a great day, we are getting much needed rain. I'm alive, prescription medication FREE at 72YY, and I'm PROUD to be American and live in America, proud to love my country and speak up as often as I can for America's finest --- our brave men and women in our military and 1st responder corps who defend and protect us every hour (correction: every minute --- 24/7) ---- NOW, that gives me hope eternal, more than enough to be proud of America and my country-men-and-women every second of every minute .... which happens to equal sixty (60) times per minute, 3,600 times per hour, and 86,000 times per day..... for there are millions of my fellow Americans, and yours, who love my country, me, and you who are serving our country and communities with the TRUE America SPIRIT, love, devotion and service !!!! And many are injured every hour in the process; about one every other day fall in the line of duty as 1st responders, and somewhere about one to 10 or 12 fall in the line of duty in our military for our country every day, 365 days/year for
America. These are TRUE AMERICIANS!!!!

Now, that's something to be proud about, grateful for, and to love about our country.

Now, (1) where have these two lived - the Obama's .... in a closet, some elite place of so-called higher education, the Senate doing little truely for America, (2) what do they know about the TRUE AMERICAN EXPERINCE, (3) are they completely void of American values and life ???? OBVIOUSLY !!!!

I'm not President Ronald Reagan, so I can't speak for him, not even like him. BUT, I sure imagine he might think of and call our attention to a little American history, values and TRUTHS beautifully described on this website, by a wonderful American lady:

I also suspect he might suggest some send her a small donation for her undying devotion and love for her country expressed through her efforts, which she bares the expense of out of her fixed income. It's FREE! And she designs her websites on a dial-up connection; imagine how time consuming that must be. That's the TRUE American experience and value system.

72yearsyoung, thank you so much for that link, along with your words. Your pride in this nation is shared by many of us here, and the truths of that pride are contained in the heart of America. One nation, One God, and his Word that taught these truths. Americas strength, pride, and accomplishments, are all based on the people taking care of the people, and this nation. "Of the people" drawing on the stengths available to them form the Creator. The power of the democrats can only draw their strength from what they can take from us, and their pride is only in that ability. The singular pride that wells up in Michelle Obama's heart as she makes her claim of new found pride. A temporary strength that can be, will be, gone in a moment. It is a truth I know, as I once lived it, and liberally drank of its cup. There is no strength in the despotic pride of those who prosper on the weaknesses of others. For that, in, and of itself, is taking pride in weakness. Getting what they can, when they can get it, while never giving back.

I really don't give a rats behind that you haven't been proud of your Country up till now. It's people like you, Michael Moore, Sean Penn, Harry Belafonte etc. who have spent their lives never realizing that the United States is truely a good and noble country making the world a far better place.
