Default Who Is 'Fascist'?

By Thomas Sowell
February 13, 2008

Those who put a high value on words may recoil at the title of Jonah Goldberg's new book, "Liberal Fascism." As a result, they may refuse to read it, which will be their loss -- and a major loss.

Those who value substance over words, however, will find in this book a wealth of challenging insights, backed up by thorough research and brilliant analysis.

This is the sort of book that challenges the fundamental assumptions of its time -- and which, for that reason, is likely to be shunned rather than criticized.

Quick, Kiddies, answer the following question (paraphrased from Dr. Sowell's article):

Quote:
What organization is completely against individualism in general and especially against individualism in a free market economy with an agenda that includes minimum wage laws, government restrictions on profit-making, progressive taxation of capital, and "rigidly secular" schools?

If you answered anything other than "the Democrat Party", you haven't been paying attention to the world around you. The parallels are truly frightening.

"Let me give my two cent's. "( And believe me that is about all there worth.) the"Political Speeches,The View, Democratic Political retoric," and the like, are from Liberals. We (Conservatives) are not the party of "hate." Its just like the Communist propaganda during the 50's and 60's. They turn it back on there enemies, and "keep it up, and up, and up." Any free thinking American Citizens should know who is right and who is wrong.Take me for instance .
I voted my first time in 1972 for Nixon, then tried to make up for that so I voted next for Carter So at that time just quit voting.
At the time I didn't like Reagan , so I voted for
Clinton next. !twice!. ( no, not like the Clinton machine in the same election, both elections.) Then finally I did something right and voted for Bush in both elections.
On 9-11 I became a Conservative for life. I watched
all the News channels ABC, NBC,CBS,CNN,MSNBC and last but not least FOX NEWS. Out of all the stations Fox news was the only station to tell it the way it was. The others always tried an angel that it was some how our fault. Fox news anchors had a tear in there eye, and expressed there Patriotism, and I was sold and watch it faithfully from then on.
I am a Animal lover, couldn't kill an animal to
save my life. Love tree's and the wonderful landscape that God bestowed on us to protect.
Does that make me an ultra liberal bomb thrower?
"Well "not on your tin type". Also if an Islamic terrorist, came at me or my family, I would twist
his head off.

You know, I vaguely remember being in school and I believe I was taught that facism was the opposite of communism, that it was reactionary rather than radical, but that they were both bad. Now it turns out that they are nearly the same thing.

I suppose there is a reason the emblem for the DNC is a donkey.

Hitler, incidentally, got some of his racist ideology from the writings of American "progressives" in the eugenics movement.
Guess who that was. Yep, the founder of Planned Parenthood, the abortion religionists.

When I was first taught the political spectrum, I had a very wise teacher who drew it not as a line, left to right, but a circle. Furthest away were the true liberals and conservatives; closest were the commies and fascists at the bottom of the nearly closed circle.

When you see it that way, Mr. Sowell and Mr. Goldberg are making a very profound and ignored case.

OH NO! Someone is trying to tell THE TRUTH!!!!! Seriously, I hope this does sell well. It was good to read this article as a confirmation of what I'd only previously suspected.
