Paul keeps white supremacist donation
Paul keeps white supremacist donation
By BRIAN SKOLOFF, Associated Press Writer
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has received a $500 campaign donation from a white supremacist, and the Texas congressman doesn't plan to return it, an aide said Wednesday.
Don Black, of West Palm Beach, recently made the donation, according to campaign filings. He runs a Web site called Stormfront with the motto, "White Pride World Wide." The site welcomes postings to the "Stormfront White Nationalist Community."
"Dr. Paul stands for freedom, peace, prosperity and inalienable rights. If someone with small ideologies happens to contribute money to Ron, thinking he can influence Ron in any way, he's wasted his money," Paul spokesman Jesse Benton said. "Ron is going to take the money and try to spread the message of freedom.

*I posted this in misc. so as not to dirty up 'campaigns & elections' with it. The Paulists have been doing hit & runs on the Forum and telling us unenlightened boobs all about who Ron Paul really is. Now we know, and it sure as hell isn't that bunch of euphemistic horsehockey Mr. Benton would have us believe.

Re: Paul keeps white supremacist donation
Would someone explain the difference between these organizations and the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congresional Hispanic Caucus, CAIR, the Black Panthers, the Black Muslims, NOW, etc., etc.?

Re: Paul keeps white supremacist donation
There should be such an outcry about contributions to the Hillary campaign. She has probably received 100 fold from questionable organizations than Paul has.

Re: Paul keeps white supremacist donation
This says much about his core principles.

"This says much about his core principles."
Are you referring to Dr. Paul's core principles? And if so, what do you think it says? Your comment suggests disapproval, but is actually meaningless without some clarification. Perhaps you assume that everyone reading this forum knows what you know?

Questions for Grayjack:
What is a "Paulist" and how do you recognize one?
As a formerly "unenlightened boob," what is it that you "Now ... know?" And who is Mr. Benton of the "euphemistic horsehockey?" Just curious.

Paul supporter. You seem to be one.
Did you read the article? Obviously not or you would know who Benton is.

Re: Paul keeps white supremacist donation
To thomas; I don't think I want to wade off into that racial morass. It's all a little too dark for me. I understand your point. The idea of racial supremacy/inferiority is not exclusive to whites. On the other hand, we Americans had slavery, civil war and segregation which makes anything that smacks of such, distasteful at best. Maybe no worse than some of the groups you mention, but bad news nonetheless. Any candidate for president should be very careful whom he accepts money from. Ron Paul obviously does not let a little racial impropriety stand in his way.

Will these people EVER go away? Greyjack, I'm sure you've seen:

Freezeframe, freezeframe? Freezeframe!
And yes, Hillary has dubious associations of her own as well, but I'll not vote for her, either.
