I voted no, but not for the obvious reason of narrowing down the selection.
In fact, the more I think about it, I should have voted yes.
IMHO, having one large group to choose from has a tendency to hinder the selection process of whom one likes best.
I would much rather see them debating in two seperate groups, allowing the ones that choose to drop out, to have at least made a better, (if not clearer), lasting impact on not just the remaing candidates, but on the general public as a whole.
Since the
perfect candidate, isn't running for election, (See Jn. Ch.1

), I find that limiting the number of choices to choose from by placing them into two groups to start with, helps me to focus on not just
what the candidate said on a given topic, but
how they said it as well.
I realize this probably isn't a practical option; However it would really help people like me.
