Default Romney calls Sharpton comments 'bigoted'

By UPI Staff

FORT DODGE, Iowa (UPI) -- U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney says the Rev. Al Sharpton's comments about Mormonism and the 2008 election were "bigoted."

Sharpton, in a debate Monday with atheist author Christopher Hitchens, said "As for the one Mormon running for office, those that really believe in God will defeat him anyway, so don't worry about that."

Romney told reporters in Iowa Wednesday that Sharpton's comments were "a very unfortunate choice of words on his part."

Neither Al nor Je$$e have come out for the only major Black candidate, Obama, what makes anyone think Al is gonna come out for or at least not "diss" anyone else?

Remember, Blacks can't be bigoted, biased or prejudiced. ONLY Whites can be. Just ask Al or Je$$e.

"Reverend" $harpton is a good one to be talking about the true believers in the Lord.

So I guess it's going to be alright just because Al made such a statement? Why does he think he can "explain" his faux pa away and all is forgiven and not accept the explanations of any caucasion who makes less remarks than that? Double standards as usual! Disgusting!

once again the drive by media will give Reverend Sharpton a pass. Had a republican said what Sharpton said about a democratic presidential canidate who happened to be a mormon there what be calls for him to be tarred and feathered. I'm glad Mitt spoke up and finally "called a spade a spade" (sorry about the lack of political correctness and sensitivity here) The likes of Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson are the true racist, they play the race card for personal enrichment. They have stayed in democratic (liberal) good graces by delivering the black vote to the democrats year after year. I don't ever recall an election by blacks naming Sarpton and Jackson their spokesmen? It's time we start confronting them!

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are "Race Pimps"

They both are worthless wastes of protoplasm. Blacks should be ashamed of themselves for allowing these two asshats to be the voices of "Black America". I am very disappointed.

Al Sharpton And Sleezy Jessie Make A Fortune Off Of The Poor Blacks. Name One Thing That These To Race Pimps Have Done For America Except Try To Tear It Down. If The Irs Had Any Balls They Would Investigate These Two.

Why would anyone refer to these two racists( sharpton & jackson) as reverand? They are two con men who are only interested in how much money and press they can get by fomenting trouble between the races.
