Default Carter backs Pelosi's trip, despite Bush's rebuke

Carter backs Pelosi's trip, despite Bush's rebuke
By Dugald McConnell - CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former President Jimmy Carter expressed his support for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trip to Syria, rejecting White House criticism of the visit.

"I was glad that she went," Carter said Wednesday. "When there is a crisis, the best way to help resolve the crisis is to deal with the people who are instrumental in the problem."

Pelosi arrived in Syria on Tuesday, in an attempt to open direct dialogue with Syria's leader, something President Bush opposes. Pelosi also discussed with President Bashar Al-Assad concerns about Syria's support for militant groups.

Bush on Tuesday called the trip "counterproducti ve" and said it would send mixed signals.

*Well this makes Pelosi's idiotic little act of defiance complete, doesn't it, and you just knew jimmacahta would get in the middle of this, didn't you? And who else would he shoot his mouth off to but CNN?

Neville Chamberlain stands forever as a shining example of what "dealing with the people who are instrumental in the problem" can accomplish. And Mr. Peanut (-brain) is not far behind--along with the rest of "dem".

Of course the dork would condone it--->it gave him the chance to bring up "his" hostage crisis and how great he was to bring them home after 400 some odd days. Dork.

The last time YOU "dealt" with the "problem", president Jimmy Carter, it cost us dearly! Stick to raising peanuts. You can't "Buy" yourself out of every situation that arises. The best way to deal with these, poor substitutes for humanity who want to kill you, is to wipe them out! We've tried "Your way" of diplomacy and money and they laugh. Not a good policy. Oh yes, we should by all means try to talk our way out of every crisis...but if that fails...what then? Let them run rough shod all over us? I think not.

Carter is just showing how little respect he has for the Constitution and America. Let him drivel on and hang the commiecrats from an even higher tree.

Of course Mr. Peanut would think she was doing great. An ineffectual, time and money wasting, undercut your own country, "Hey, look at me!" venture - exactly what he always liked to engage in.

What a surprise that he took her side. I wonder what he thinks about the outright lie (according to Ehud) she told Syria about Israel. Let her go on some more of these junkets, she is just screwing her party blind. Good Job!

That thrilled him, he hates Israel.

Carter said he recently wanted to visit Syria, in connection with a Palestinian election, but "for the only time in my life, as a former president, I was ordered by the White House not to go."

And he's questioning this why? He goes all over the world bad-mouthing his country and his president and wonders why they don't want him out of their sight?

So now he's pouting over it and wants to get back at the prez.

The good Lord knows he's old enough to grow up, but his mind seems to have been set in portland cement for the past 50 years.

Carter should visit the sun to gather facts on global warming.
