The Debate Is Over

Former Vice President Al Gore, testifying on his pet issue last week, told Congress: "there is no longer any serious debate over the basic points that make up the consensus on global warming." As Rush Limbaugh observed a few hours after Gore's testimony, when liberals declare the debate over, you can bet the debate is not over; they just want it stifled.

Perhaps conservatives should adopt this tactic of declaring the debate over on some of our issues. What do we have to lose? It would be a fun exercise, and it might usher in a whole new era of conventional wisdom.

So, I hereby declare that there is no longer any serious debate over the basic points that make up the consensus on abortion. Everyone knows it's a baby. It moves. It kicks. It has a heartbeat and brain waves. When allowed to grow, it becomes an adult. Yes, the debate is over. Abortion kills human beings and should be prohibited.

This is the best use of humor to make a conservative point that I have read in years. A close second is Rush Limbaugh / Paul Shanklin's song "I am Woman" sung by John Edwards, the Breck girl himself!!!!!

Many bloggers, writers, like myself have been talking about what Doug has written for years. However, Doug has brilliantly put all, all of the leftist nonsense in one article. Destroys all of them and does it with panache. Now he needs to send this article first to the RNC, then to the entire group of reps in the Congress and then to the President. If they don't get this, nothing will be done anyhow. The horror is that our own group of Republicans may not see the truth in what Doug has written and end up pontificating about so called Constitutional rights for terrorists.

And there is no longer any debate regarding human influence on climate. The evidence and science is incontrovertable that the climate is driven by the sun.

Human caused CO2 is less than 1 percent of naturally produced CO2. And CO2 only amounts to about one percent of greenhouse gases (water vapor accounting for about 95 percent.)

So therre's just no debate.
