Default Media watchdog says liberal media undermined Bush plan

By Chad Groening

January 17, 2007

(AgapePress) -- The Media Research Center says even before President Bush's new Iraq plan was unveiled last week, the liberal news media was busy reporting it wouldn't work and the war was a lost cause.

Rich Noyes is director of research at the Media Research Center. He contends that in the days leading up to the speech, liberal news outlets were involved in a pre-emptive war against the president's plan, which called for an additional 21,500 troops to be sent to Iraq.

Angry Re: Media watchdog says liberal media undermined Bush plan

I agree with this article 100%. I watched for two hours prior to the Presidents speech on HARDBALL and was astounded at the negativity displayed by Chris Matthews and ALL his guests. NOT ONE was supportive of the move as a positive direction. The most positive comment was sideways saying the President must have hope that this last straw will work. And it was couched like he must be the only one in the country who thinks this has a chance to work. Every person stated they cannot understand how the President could "put more soldiers in harms way when the current approach has FAILED to work so far".

There is no such thing as "fair and balanced" on these networks.

NO DUGH! What did you expect from the media. The whole election was based on mis representations, half truths, and out right lies from the media.

Noyes says the liberal news media has always measured the success of the Iraqi war on the number of Americans who have been killed -- not on the progress being made on liberating the country, moving it toward democracy, or giving the various religious sects in the country a chance to deal with each other peaceably.
This is not just the war in Iraq, this is the way liberial media treats everything Republicans do.

I do not know if US funds are still given to help suport the media....if it is ....then if they do not have a fair and balance news network/media their funds should be cut off.

To those that are willing to question what they hear from the msm, this is nothing new.

The question is: "What can be done about it?"
Is there a way that they can be held responsible for their [borderline] treasonous ways?

IMHO, Larry, Moe, and Curly would be far more reliable than Miss Cashews, (er, I mean Chris Matthews), could ever be.

I think placing their license on a probationary status would be in order as well.

*And how does the driveby media treat the Dems vaunted "100 hour agenda"?

Gibson Toasts House Democrats for Finishing
100 Hour Agenda in 42 - MRC

Exactly two weeks after ABC anchor Charles Gibson trumpeted how video of Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the House floor holding a baby while she talked to colleagues demonstrated "the ultimate in multitasking: Taking care of the children and the country," he celebrated how House Democrats "completed their scheduled hundred hours of work in just about 42 hours, so they can put the other 58 in the bank." In stark contrast to how ABC's evening newscast scrutinized the Republican agenda in 1995, on Thursday's World News Gibson triumphantly listed the liberal policy accomplishments, naturally without any such ideological label, and didn't paint any as controversial or cite any criticisms of them.

I wish there was a way to make the media report instead of slant the news. Trouble is, most won't admit to anyone, including themselves that it is slanted. It's been going on forever and I just don't see anyway to change it, so we who care, have to do our best to find the real truth.

Thumbs up Re: Media watchdog says liberal media undermined Bush plan

The 1st Amendment Right of freedom of the Press is being seriously abused by the liberal MSM, and that is a real shame. It will dilute the influence which they are guaranteed by the Constitution at some future time I am sure.

But, in the meantime, the conservatives in Congress must be diligent in their efforts to stay on the high-ground of reason and persuasion for their constituents in otder to 'save' the country for another day when the voters have had enough of liberal foolishness.

In the interim, let us hope that the rest of the MSM goes the way of the L.A.Times, and soon, the N.Y.Times......
