<span style='color:#B92C15 '><span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'> Welcome to </span></span>

I think we better put the on for our southern neighbors for the next 24 hours.

Dennis is presently a level III hurricane again and reaching for IV. The latest reports suggest there may be enough cool water to keep him from reaching Level IV. Everything depends on where he makes landfall as some areas have less natural protection than others.

The other big news that will keep us occupied is the situation in Great Britain. All seems quiet now after the latest evacuations. No bombs were found but the country is on such high alert and so tense that a threat really sets everyone off. Let's pray for our British friends too. Remember, we know how it feels.

The liberals are really starting to come out of hiding to play the blame game now.

They don't know if they should attack us over terrorism or judges. Dingy Harry had his knickers in such a twist today that he didn't even mention Great Britain in his radio address to rebut the president who's entire message was about the situation in Britain. What a difference in character on display.

"At first I suspected the Amish." ~ Ann Coulter

"Islam, finally a religion the liberals can endorse and allow people to practice." ~ Ann Coulter

Laurie will be along with our Touch of Trivia soon and some of you can get a jump on tomorrow.

Words of Wisdom: "This week, there is great suffering in the city of London. Yet the British people are resilient, and they have faced brutal enemies before. The nation that survived the Nazi Blitz will not be intimidated by terrorists. And just as America and Great Britain stood together to defeat the murderous ideologies of the 20th century, we again stand together to defeat the hateful ideologies of the 21st century. The terrorists cannot shake our will. America and its allies will act decisively, because we know that the future of civilization is at stake in this struggle, and we know that the cause of freedom will prevail. May God bless the people of Great Britain, and may He continue to bless America." ~ President George W. Bush

“I’m baffled by Senators demanding that President Bush reach out to them in appointing a justice to the Supreme Court. Last time I read it, the Constitution says ‘advise and consent’ not ‘complain and filibuster. The Salazar-McCain liberal 14 can’t be allowed to control a judicial branch again. I hope the President steps up to the plate and delivers on his mandate. More than 62 million Americans didn’t show up at the voting booth to put an ACLU lefty on the bench.” ” ~ Rep. Tom Tancredo

of the Day! "I'm absolutely outraged by the failure of the administration to release the [rail security] funding that Congress approved last year. We are woefully behind where London and other subway systems are because London does have the video surveillance. I just don't understand what the holdup is." ~ Hillary before the smoke cleared in London

"I hope that President Bush and the Senate can work together to nominate and confirm ... someone with enough common sense to know that Supreme Court justices should not impose a narrow partisan ideology, but make rulings with an open mind and a big heart." ~ Dingy Harry

God Bless our great country. May Freedom ever ring!

Here's Laurie's good trivia. She is having problems with her wrist and I'm sure she would appreciate a prayer also. We have a long list tonight.

How many really serious storms have you been in?

What is the absolutely worst storm you’ve ever been in?

Have you ever lost power during a storm;
for how long?

Do you check a weather source every day or just when you might have outdoor plans?

What is your favorite weather source? Internet. Newspaper, local news, weather channel?

What is your favorite summer sport to view?

What is your favorite store bought cookie?

What is your favorite flavor of ice-cream?

Do you know how to swim?

* * I am having trouble sleeping. The wind is nothing like the storms last year but the shutters aren't up, so it seems louder.

I'm glad I came back to the forum to read your kind words, Timbercutter. I needed that. Thanks.

<span style='color:0066ff' >Happy, Good, Wonderful, Special, Thankful Morning from Zolfo Springs, Florida!</span>

Things could have been far worse and I fear that for my northern neighbors the worst is yet to come. Cat IV and 145 MPH with 17Ft surge, in an area that is still recovering (as we are here in my area) from last year's devastation. I am praying hard that they will come through better this time. You too javajoy ~ hope you live close to a Wally World. As much as I slam them from time to time, they came through like champs for us after Charley.

Tonja ~ glad you're ok too. Sorry about the headache. I had a doozie yesterday too. When the barometric pressure starts dancin' around I usually do. But a couple of sinus tabs fixes it. Hope Danny and Katy didn't get knocked off line by the wind up in Jax. I hate looking for hiding places. It's much easier to "jest foller" the "hider."

ML ~ you truly are on a roll. Such a diversity of talent in one lady.

K ~ off to do trivia. This one should be a breeze.
