Default A New Voice for Comprehensive Immigration Reform: Religious Conservatives

By Dan Gilgoff, God & Country
US News and World Report

In advance of President Obama's and the Democrats' coming push for immigration reform, support for so-called comprehensive reform that would include a path to citizenship for many illegal immigrants
already in the United States is building among a surprising constituency: conservative religious activists.

The effort includes not only socially conservative groups that have partnered with Democrats on other issues in the past—like the National Association of Evangelicals and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops—but also more staunchly conservative groups and figures closely aligned with the Republican Party.

There's been lots of discussion, but few published articles. Here's one, from the American Spectator.

I think a lot of this can be laid to the Gamaliel Foundation projects. They've infiltrated most of the churches, including evangelicals. The main aim of this group is to make churches liberal and using the Alinsky (this is right on their website) method, they're doing a bang-up job of it.

The US government should deport all illegal aliens. Other countries do it. The US must do it too. And the US must reduce legal immigration.

Here's a link to the Gamaliel Foundation. The word "amnesty" does not appear on their immigration reform page, but they are clearly for an amnesty. They want "a path to citizenship for those here". They are strongly expansionist. Ugh.
