The agreement for the Church of the Nativity didn't come through yesterday but there is now word that an agreement has been reached.

A second pipebomb has been found in Colorado. The first one in Salida was reportedly similar to the others. This second one was not in a mailbox and did not share the same characteristics as all the others but it is much closer to us. :o The copycats are starting to show up.

Hi all! It's 2http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif6 a.m. here. I'm in the midst of Finals week here at MSU, so it's a busy time for me. But, I'm still going to hang out here when I have the time to do so. It won't be much, but a little is better than none, ne?

I'm so glad Bush has renounced that gawd-awful treaty that would have destroyed American sovereignity. Just goes to show you that Bush has his better moments http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Well, I've had a great semester and I had a wonderful history class, (even though the teacher was a liberal. I wore my "I Like Bush" shirt every week just for him, lol). Since that class, though, I no longer listen to music the same way (you'll understand if you've ever read "Born in the U.S.A. Bruce Springsteen and the American Tradition")

Anyone out here a Garth Brooks fan? Just curious. I''ve always been a fan, but his last CD made me an even stronger fan. I guess it just speaks to me, and some of the songs I can say "Oh, what wonderful Republican values"

BTW, my cold is better now.

Well, we've gotten the mailbox instructions this morning. All mailboxes are to be open or our mail will not be delivered.

A more serious problem for us is fire. We had 3 fires relatively near us yesterday. The biggest and closest was about 5 miles away. We could smell the smoke. These are grass fires and move very fast. Night before last there were 2500 homes evacuated overnight. We sure need some rain. :shocked:

Now, I'm off to check the news. I did post a really good story about the Governor of Arkansas laying into Daschle bigtime.

There are a few things that will be making news today.

The UN is considering a resolution to condemn Israel for 'atrocities' in Jenin. This is the massacre that didn't take place but that won't matter to the UN. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/teeth2.gif

There is talk of raising per passenger airline security fees. This should help just about as much as federalizing did. :turquoiserolleyes:

I'm just hearing of another pipebomb in Amarillo. This is intriguing. Is this one person driving all over? Is it an organized group? Or is this another copycat? What do you think? *The Texas bomb was found yesterday too but we did have a Sunday in between when no one was going to their mailboxes. Watch out Bobby! He could be headed your way. :shocked:

It's a lovely day here in Ontario! Calgary, Alberta on the other had got over a foot of snow yesterday and more is expected today!

I heard about these pipe bombs. 18 now? Just awful the lengths that people will go to do these things.

It was a Christmas present to me from my mom, she even got me the limited 1st edition (basically just a different cover on the CD booklet and pic on the CD itself). And no, I don't care for when he goes berserk and smashes stuff on stage either.

Bobby, no this is not my last semester. It is for the summer, but I am just a sophomore, going to be a junior.

RIM, my professor took the shirt in stride. Despite his left-leanings, he is a very good teacher, and he can actually put his biases aside when teaching. He did teach us the basic Watergate thing, and when he passed me he whispered "Republicans do this" as a joke, and I was like "yeah, liberal ones do". http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Aknauta, don't worry. The homepage is really for an entirely different audience who likes that particular cartoon. I've quit watching it, but I still write based on it (and I incorporate other things in, too).

Yes, I'm a writer, of sorts. Never paid for it yet, but one day that might change. Depends on if I can find the gumption to sit down and write a real novel or novella. I already did once, but that was on my old computer, and it crashed without warning and would not re-start, it died. So, I have only chapters 13-17 on the backup disks. It was weird anyway, and I think I got a little too far out there with it, I dunno.
My writing is weird, considering my staunch Christianity. I write a bunch of occult stuff. But then again, it is usually the villains in my stories that are into it, so I dunno . . .

Anyway, I better get ready. I've got a practice, a final presentation in speech and a jury (where I play my main instrument (sax) in front of the entire woodwind faculty for my final grade in private applied). After today, my computer is going home, so I won't have the Internet when I'm here. Man, I might go through withdrawal symptoms . . . lol

On the way home we heard that the FBI has issued a bulletin for Luke John Helder, white, 5-foot-9, 150 pounds with brown hair and green eyes, is believed to be in the Lubbock or Brownfield areas of Texas, the FBI said.

He is driving a gray, 1992 four-door Honda Accord with Minnesota license plate number EZL-783.

ARGGGGGGGGG! I've been watching Maury, Jenny, and Sally Jesse with my son!!! TALK ABOUT DEMENTED! Such a collection of complete imbeciles. Absolutely unbelievable. The main theme stringing throughout all of them was DNA testing for "who was the father" of various babies. OH OH OH OH OH

Angelus! We'll miss you! My eldest son is also a sophomore in college. I've got him home for the summer now and have quickly remembered what a complete joy it is to have him around daily. He's starting his computer internship tomorrow full-time so I'll start missing him again during the day. AND my youngest son, a junior in HS, is starting his very first job at PetCo today. Life is just beautiful. What a wonderful family I have been blessed with.

NOW..........RIM AND AKNAUTA!!!! CONGRATULATIONS! You two are both GREAT. I couldn't be prouder of you RIM. Terri, of course the most excellent choice possible! Aknauta, I have really enjoyed all your posts and hope to get to know you better as each day goes by. BUT....NO DEAL RIM...my koi are all named and I couldn't part with a one of them. Besides, all I've got is koi food....no hay!

Hey guess what, the Internet at my house is working again, so I can be here a bit more than I originally thought. I'm trying to come home every night instead of spending all week down at MSU, since I only have one or 2 finals each day (none on Wednesday), and I don't want to be there 24 hours for a 2 hour final.

Of course, anyone can see what I've done so far on my cartoon-rlated writings on my page (where I am Prince Darien). Eventually I'll write a completely original story, hehe . . .

I just saw an episode of Buffy: the Vampire Slayer. Anyone here catch it? Does anyone even watch the show? Well, if not, you're missing out on a very well written show (despite the lesbian factor, but thank goodness that isn't the main focus of the show).
