Yes, it's great that its Wednesday! Just a few more days left...
This weekend, GOPUSA is having its first State Editor Conference in Houston, TX. This is an opportunity for us to sit down and discuss ways to make GOPUSA bigger and better. I'll keep you posted on the results.
Ideas are always welcomed at GOPUSA so please keep them coming.

Good Morning Terri, Dr. Eberle, http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif
Wish I could be at the State Editor get-together but it is a wee bit too far for me. To be exact it is 3287 miles, 5291 km, or 2857 nautical miles, take your pick. Of course if I were to drive it would be longer still.
Want to calculate distances between cities? check: ( http://www.indo.com/cgi-bin....n%2C+Tx (http://www.indo.com/cgi-bin/dist?place1=Fairbank s%2C+AK&place2=Houston%2C+Tx ) )
Here's hoping we get good reports and pictures from the editor's Houston meeting.

Donald Rumsfeld has just announced a major overhaul of the Military Command Structure.
Of course the media isn't very interested in this. Their questions seem to all concern the rumors that some armchair general has put out that we somehow let Bin Laden escape from Tora Bora because we didn't have ground troops there soon enough. :turquoiserolleyes:
Bobby, the State Editor's meeting is fascinating. Can you tell us how many will attend and something more about the agenda?
Aknauta, it's too bad you can't attend but you definitely would have a long trip.

Everyone must be as busy as I have been today. It was a half day of school so I spent the afternoon with the grandchildren.
Aberfoyle, thanks for posting that site. It's good that we have a reminder of that horrible day. It's quite a long presentation, just keep clicking the photos.
If it's clear in your area tonight you should be able to see 5 planets, Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Saturn and Venus, *lined up in the western sky. This alignment happens relatively often, again in 2040, but they are not always so close together.
Arafat is irate that Powell has gone home without getting him out of that compound. There's very little to smile about in that situation but an Arafat temper tantrum is one thing. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Good evening all!
This has been an extremely busy day. My schedule is all screwed up. :turquoiserolleyes: So much to do before I go on vacation next week. ANDTerri, you won't believe this, I'm getting another new boss. My boss of three (or so) months just informed me that today will be his last day and that an interim manager will fill in till Monday, at which time the new manager (this time a female) will arrive. That's four in less than a year. So I won't get to meet her till I get back from vacation. I was just getting used to number three and he just gave me a nice raise. He's being promoted, so I can't say that I blame him. Anyway, I'm not going to even think about this till after I get back from vacation. I saw his little tirade ~ I loved it. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Also, just saw on O'Reilly that Jesse Jackson has received nine million in tax free donations in 2001. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/teeth2.gif I'd like a list of the creeps who support his drivel so I could make sure I don't support them. I think AT&T was one of the companies. You'd think they could find a more reputable place to donate their tax write offs. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsdown.gif
Well, it's past my bedtime. Have a great evening. Maybe I'll manage to get up on time tomorrow. lol

Hello, everyone. You are such a great bunch of people. I worked the last couple of days. I do 12 hour shifts 3 days a week, so the days I work I don't get much else done.
I finally got my cable hooked back up today, so I have FoxNews again. That's one of the things I missed the most these months of remodeling.
My son called me yesterday very upset. One of the soldiers killed in the explosion in Afghanistan on Monday (Justin Galewski) was someone he did his EOD training with. He said this was a first class great guy.
I'm heartbroken for the families of every lost service man and woman. I wish there was another way. The price of Freedom is very steep.

RIM! There you are! Oh no! Not another new boss! My goodness girl, you need to get out of there. :o *No, don't think about it, just enjoy your time off. Do you have a whole week off?
I'll post a Jesse Jackson story unless someone already has. I need to check the board. This has been such a crazy day. I don't know why I'm so popular all of a sudden. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Donnalee! Good to see you back. 12 hour shifts are a killer. I can't even put words together after I work that long. I'm glad you have Fox back but they were a little irritating tonight. I don't like it when they have liberal guests without a conservative to balance things.
I'm so sorry that your son lost a friend. One of the lost soldiers was from Colorado. There were pictures of his family in today's paper. They can always be proud of their hero but it is very cold comfort.
