In other news today, I'm in a good mood, and the second movement of my symphony is nearly complete! *I just finished what I call the "golden section", lol. *And no, you former music majors, this isn't the Theoretical Golden section, defines by multiplying the number of measures by .618. *It is the "power" section, and that is MY golden sect. *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Good morning and what a difference a week makes. This time last week I wasn't sure I'd make it this far. So this is how life is without a headache - grrreat. Before I could get on the computer last night a two minute storm knocked out our power. All that roar and fuss for two tenths of an inch of rain. The news said about 20,000 people lost their power last night. I was glad to see the power return, it was starting to get warm in the house - our high temp yesterday was 97 degrees and its supposed to get to 98 today. The Palestinians better watch out or JJ will take over the country, or at least convince to donate to his cause. His cause is JJ. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Good Morning All! pRIM is right, another beautiful day in SW Florida. It is times like these I wish I had a boat like Aknauta. I am going down to Punta Gorda today for a Wood Badge reunion at Camp Miles this afternoon. FYI, Wood Badge is a special group of trained adult Scout leaders who went through an intensive course and are working on their "ticket". RIM, I never heard of J.A.P.D.I.P. before, but upon thinking about it, couls it mean "Just Another Perfect Day In Paradise"? Makes sense to me. BTW, women skippers in Alaska don't hit bridges, they hit glaciers. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif Welcome Pennsylvania Farmer! We need more farmers in here, glad you joined us. Have a great Sunday, see you during the week.

Hi Everyone! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sunflower.gif
Gorgeous photo, Aknauta! Now we need to see the woman skipper that took such good care of you.
SueElise is sure sounding good. I still think we need to find out more about Friday night. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
RIM, not a chance they would keep Jesse. They never keep Clinton or Carter either. Guess we just can't win.
Angelus, another good mood! This is great! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif
Floridaguy, women skippers don't hit anything cause they're all great drivers. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/JEDIpinkietoo.gif Have a fun day in the sun!
Hi Aberfoyle and lpara! *No naps here. I have too much to do.

BREAKING NEWS
Buckingham Palace has been evacuated for the first time since WW2 due to fire!
Terri
06-02-2002, 03:11 PM
Aberfoyle, I just heard that and there is an update. The fire is under control and the smoke is no longer visible.
None of the royal family was in the palace. It was being prepared for a big fling tomorrow.

Saber, I have a few more hockey headlines for you from today's papers.
"Roy stands tall even after fall" *"Roy's play responsible for all Avs accomplished" *"Motivation for title defense missing from Av's playbook"
The thinking in the columns today is that the Avalanche needs more scoring and not a different goalie. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif One writer went on and on about why it's important that Roy stay on.
There may be some sports writers here who will dis him but not many. He's an institution here and second only to John Elway as a sports icon.
Aberfoyle, I remembered what you said about the players being from Canada. Many are, (and we are thankful for them) but Forsberg is Swedish. We're thankful for him too.
My internet connection went down in the middle of this and now I'm on my slow but free dialup. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Hi guys. Just spent the whole day at the beach. It was beautiful. And, although I'm very fair skinned, I haven't burned yet - I've learned to reapply the sunscreen often. Good thing, too, because I'll be spending a lot of time at the beach pretty soon. We saw a wave runner speeding along without its driver - he came jogging along about 5 or 6 minutes later! LOL He was lucky - some nice boaters cornered it and stopped it before anyone could get hurt.

Good Evening Everyone and Greetings from http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag29.gif ...
Yes, scary time in London in the middle of the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations. Glad they got that fire out in that storage area in the 4th floor attic area. I watched last evening's Jubilee programme on PBS from Buffalo, NY and it was a stunning show! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif
http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sunflower.gif Sue Elise, I glad you had your sun screen on! Nice that you could enjoy the beach. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sunflower.gif Still too chilly up here most days...
RIM, busy week ahead? Take care! How many days till retirement? http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif
Terri, yes Forsberg is fantastic. He was loved here in Canada before going to Colorado after arriving from Sweden. Very speedy and such a great all round guy!

Sue Elise, the beach sounds like a good place to be. I'm not sure if I know what a wave rider is. We're land locked here and beach deprived. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Aberfoyle, it's good the fire in the palace was put out without too much damage.
RIM, I'll hope for a speedy Monday for you. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
We have our own fire situation here. There is a large grass fire burning just south of us and we have high winds. Earlier the air was filled with smoke and ash. It seemed to lessen for awhile but now I'm smelling it really strongly inside the house. Guess I better go take a look outside.
My internet connection has been up and down all afternoon too. Probably a result of the high winds.

[color=teal]Howdy everyone, http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif
We have had a good Sunday here. *Never did get that nap in tho. *Got started on my son's board again and never left til it was time for church again. The party is this coming Saturday and I better get hustling!
Terri, I think it's good that the "people" are behind your hockey guy, Roy. *It is frustrating to me when people are fickle and only like someone when they are at their peak. *That's one thing that is wrong with sports today, if you ask me. *Hope that fire stays far away or some rain comes for you. *We could use some rain also. *Grass looks gross! *
Upper 90's here today. *Beaches here are tooooooooo crowded. *I lived here in NC for 16 years before I visited a beach (in March) and it was beautiful (and no people). *The ocean was so vast--unbelievable until you see it for yourself. *Wish I were in http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag29.gif or Colorado tho, I need some cool air! *

I have had a good day. *My song is slowly coming along. *Well, faster now, because the hard part is done. *Now it's just playing with what is already written, augmenting it, retrograding it, etcetera (if I decide to do those.)
Well, on another note, many of my friends have now graduated. *It was sad, because I now realize I'm not a spring chicken, I'm a late-spring chicken (:mdr11http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
