The news has not been good lately. The situation in the Middle East is affecting the entire rest of the world. Do you think it is interfering with our own war on terror?

Hi, Terri. Nice place you have here. I'll look forward to dropping in from time to time.

This whole Middle East thing may be being orchestrated by Arab leaders who hold the strings tied to Yasser Arafat's knees and elbows. Perhaps they feel they can divert the world's attention from and mitigate the success of the US strikes in Afghanistan and the impending strikes at the state sponsors of worldwide terror by fomenting a crisis in the region incorrectly termed "Palestine."

Unfortunately, Ariel Sharon doesn't have much option but to respond aggressively to the suicide attacks. But, given the history between Sharon and Arafat, I'm not sure he'd be disposed to restraint if there were an option. He may have strings tied to his knees and elbows, too.

Chuck! *Welcome to GOPUSA!!

And a big welcome to Aberfoyle who has also registered with us!

I hope you will both enjoy it here and feel right at home. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Chuck, I agree that Arafat is likely a puppet of those who wish to remain in the shadows and wield a lot of power. Sharon has publicly stated that he regrets not killing Arafat when he had the opportunity. Actually, I think his response would be much, much stronger if he were not somewhat restrained by moderate elements in his own government as well as the Bush administration.

I've posted an article HERE (http://gopusa.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=6&topic=22) concerning the President's remarks this morning on the Middle East.

HEY HEY HEY!!!! REALLY great place Columbine and honchos!

The "foxhole" is going to have to have many underground entrances and exits so we can all crawl around to the different boards!

Being the rattler that I am, I am very pleased to be a part of a conservative board where I can come and "let my hair down" after fighting the good fight and spreading the TRUTH around!

We look forward to hearing your opinions. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

The British press is criticizing our President for his cautioning words to Israel today. *What?? :o

Didn't I just hear criticism over there because he was supporting Israel?? Sheez!

Hi Aberfoyle!

We look forward to getting the Canadian point of view from you! Our countries are so closely connected and good neighbors but still we sometimes see things very differently.

I'm also hoping to see some of the nice folks who have already been posting here very soon. Just can't wait to meet them. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
