It's almost 1http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0 a.m. here. I'm tired. But I wanted to post here before I go off to sleep. If anyone is interested, I've ranted about Reagan now. You can check that out if you want. Let's see, what else is new?
Oh, my mom had a good Mother's day. So did I and I'm not even a mother.
I noticed on one of the forums (Education I think, but not sure at this wee hour in the morning) that the discussion turned to South Park (and yes I remember posting in it). But the point is this:
We know SP is not a kid's show, though it is a cartoon. Does anyone here watch other cartoons that are not intended to be kid's shows? Not that they're all like SP, or anything, some can be quite good. An example is Gundam Wing, an anime (Japanimation) that was on Cartoon Network for a while. I think I saw the series 2 times, all the way through.

OH Angelus! I have always LOVED South Park! Hey, I admit it.....I have a warped sense of humor! I'll never forget being in a condo in Florida with hubby, two sons and mother-in-law. The weather was absolutely HORRIBLE and we were all stuck inside for 10 days. We were all claustrophobic and MIL was getting on all of our nerves in a big way. We turned on SP and were all introduced to MISTER HANKEY! I kid you not, I don't ever think I've laughed so hard in my whole life. That show is the most UN-PC show...that's why I've always loved it!

The Likud vote against the Palestinian state sends the whole ME problem onto another fork in the road! There are so many twists and turns to this whole situation that I really wonder where it is EVER going to finally end up. I adore Netanyahu, so I'll put my bets on him. Looks like he's stirring up a hornet's nest.

Did anyone catch the clip of Reno "dressing down" Jeb Bush yesterday? I could have bitten my tongue off when I heard her say "Don't be afraid of an Independent Investigator Governor Bush". HER, of ALL people, saying that???? This from the master of cover-ups? Sickening, truly.

Aberfoyle, YES, I watched the Toronto game and nearly chewed my fingernails to a nub! Did you see the Tie Domi back slam into the boards face first? Seems that Ottawa team likes to deal out the dirty play on a consistent basis. At least the refs were somewhat on top of the game unlike the game the other night. I had the distinct feeling that they were trying to "make up" for the despicable refereeing done in the prior game.

RIM....have a great day at work!

I'm gonna check the news about this July 4th threat to the nuclear facilities. I've thought that we might see an attack of some sort over the holiday. These people do seem to like to make a big splash.

Good Morning Everybody!!

Well, what a wonderful weekend it was at the Ole' Homestead. Friday was real windy but saturday was nice. I over did it a little bit this weekend and I am a little sore but hey, I'll recover.

South Park is the best show on the tube!! I watch it whenever I remember to program the VCR. I must also admit that it is propably the most Un-Pc show going. They hold nothing back. I will also agree that Mr. Hanky has to be one of the better characters on the show but as far as regulars go, I think the Chef is my favorite. Oh well.

I think I am a little peeved about this Dionne Warwick thing. She had 10 stokeys in her bag and was released because she promised to show up in court but the guy arrested in Cinn OH for a few grams was thrown in jail with a &#36100,000 bond and this was after they shut down the airport terminal for an hour and a half. Think they went a little overboard on this?? *

I don't have time right now...I am really draging after getting up for work a two in the morn but I do want to let Ipara and Aknauta know that I plan on responding to the Justice Department thread in the Firing Line...hopefully by tomorrow when I have more time. Right now I got to get some sleep before I go back to work by three this afternoon.

Morning all. I'm enjoying a day off today. I have to check out the news soon, but as far as cartoons go, I have to admit nothing beats a good old fashioned bugs bunny.

Did anyone watch Disney's "Dinotopia" last night? Talk about trying to influence kids! It was so full of leftist socialist crap! Stuff like the "Laws of Dinotopia" including things like "weapons are enemies even to their owners" and that humans aren't superior in intelligence or anything else to dogs!

Arafat has left Ramallah today and is out touring the West Bank. He won't go to Jenin because of security problems. What's that about? Israel has withdrawn. Are they admitting that Arafat might not be safe among the people who love him so much? :turquoiserolleyes:

I watched Dinotopia last night. When they started all that crap about other ways to defend youself without weapons, I almost lost it. Leaving it in context of the show, some 3-ton T-Rex is about to stomp you, kill you, eat, you, whatever. And you aren't supposed to use a weapon to defend yourself? How are you supposed to defend against something like that without a weapon? Scream loudly?
But, there is one good thing. Because of their idiotic anti-self defense laws, they nearly got killed twice. If you look at it the right way, then it is showing how these laws are dangerous to the survival of human beings . . .
Well, we'll have to wait and see the rest to fins out if that's the purpose, won't we?
Some thing that I noticed was the archaeologist. He told the main character (Carl?) that his brother had been "sucked in" to the world. Maybe it's just a slightly different way of showing how leftism = brainwashed uncommon sense (that's just my view, though).

There are several breaking news items.

Part of the Pentagon is being evacuated because of an odor.

There are reports that some 26 Islamic extremists have entered the US since March in shipping containers.

A large fire at a refinery on the Houston Ship Channel.

And now they are saying that the nuclear power plant threat is from a European intelligency agency and not the terrorist we have in custody.

I was on a lengthy phone call this morning with the TV sound muted when I saw the "Breaking News" of the 25 Islam "extremists" having come here in cargo containers in the last few months. *I don't get that. *If we knew they were here, coming in cargo containers, why are they here? *Didn't we catch them? *If we know this, why wasn't something done? *Alot of unanswered question on this one for me.

I haven't heard about the outcome of the "odor" at the Pentagon. *Is it really something...or is the "machine" turned up to too much sensitivity?

True story.....(and I may have told some of you this before)...I almost never change the channel from Fox and I have the proof! A few months ago, they started slowly rotating the "Fox News" emblem at the bottom left of the screen, but before that, it didn't move at all...and became PERMANENTLY ETCHED into my TV screen! I'm sure they started the rotation of it because of all the complaints! On other channels, if you look closely, it still says "Fox News" on my TV. It's faded, but it's there!

RIM....that's for the "cheat sheet" on editing! I still don't know what the heck was wrong with my []'s. I was listening to Neal Boortz on the radio as I ran a couple of errands. He was raging on the Republicans and how they cave ALL THE TIME to the demoncrats. This time it was specifically about how apparently the Repubs are caving on the privitization of SS. I'll have to check out where that rant came from.....BUT.....he also said that with the latest pork barrel bills coming out of Congress, apparently Jack Kingston (R, GA) piled on &#36450,000 for the repair of chimneys on some island in Georgia! I'm heartsick....I LOVE Jack Kingston.....BUT.... .this nonsense has GOT TO STOP. The Repubs, IMO, are shooting themselves consistently anymore. From what I hear and read (and it's extensive), I think the Repubs could have some real problems in upcoming elections if they continue along these paths that are very much irritating their base supporters.
