Just a quickie~~will be another busy day and I still haven't ended yesterday! *Believe it or not, I mostly did more decorating all day today (yesterday) . *Made numerous bows (5 for outside and a bunch for inside) and decorated the stair case with a bunch of new stuff I've been picking up here and there. *I do enjoy it, but it's WORK!

I also bought a new software program called Print Artist and I finally made a Thank You "Booklet" for our friends. *It took HOURS. *I just finished it and it was lots of fun! *

Only thing left to do is clean the boys room up before they get home. *We've "dumped" some furniture in there, etc. and I need to "rearrange" so they'll be comfortable for the few weeks they are here. *Can't Wait! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *They should be home around 1 or 2 pm tomorrow. *Pray for their safety if you think about it. *I'm always nervous til they get here!

Fox News is saying that there is a growing buzz on the Hill about a replacement. Also a Mississippi newspaper is calling for him to step down.

Good Afternoon All: Just got the wife home about an hour ago - the first thing she said after greeting the dogs, was I want something to eat. She was so mad at the people in the nursing home that she wouldn't even talk to them this morning. I don't think they did anything wrong, but she is used to our routine here at home. The rain let up for a few minutes when I picked her up but it was pouring when we got home. Thank heavens for the carport. I'll get back with you later - got to empty the van and get me some lunch.

The President formally announced his smallpox vaccination program. The military will be vaccinated first, along with the President. He said he would not ask them to be vaccinated unless he was willing to do so himself. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif

His family will not be vaccinated, at least not until it is available for everyone.

Afternoon Again: Welcome to all of the new members - waiting for you to post. Don't be afraid saying the wrong thing - if the other members don't agree they will enter into a pleasant debate.

I wonder why the new media is making such a big thing out of the smallpox inoculation. My first was at the age of 5 and my second was while I was in the military and nobody said anything about the hazards of one in a million would die. Its the same vaccine.

Looks like dear old Trent Lott walked in the cow pasture and didn't look where he was stepping. I sent him an E-mail and told him that he had replaced Ted Turner as the Mouth of the South and was now a liability to the party. The Dems don't want him to step down - they would rather keep him as the whipping boy so they can boost their image with the minorities - black and hispanic. Maybe the party should keep him, close the borders and kick out all of the illegals - I'll drink to that. Looking forward to listening to him try to wiggle in his news conference.

Time to feed the dogs and eat my cookies - see you later.

Closed on the new mortgage this morning. Locked in at 6% for only 20 years payoff (the old one was 30), plus the actual payment went slightly down by about $30/month. Der Alte, I had the smallpox vaccination too as a child. Probably an occasional person did die from it but we weren't so sue happy back then. People still realized that life carries some risk.

Got a new battery in the watch which stopped yesterday, picked up a few scout items from the shop, we did a touch of shopping, and I picked up some food for dinner. I sure don't know how Matalin and Carville do it. I almost don't get through dinner with my son in law sometimes. 12-13-2002 a day that will live in Infamy! I let the dog out at 0830 hours and noticed an empty spot in my driveway. My beautiful Number 16 has been stolen and I am very super sorry that the dog didn't even hear them take it during the night She was an old '89 Caddie and my last one after a lifetime of driving the Standard of The World. My only hope is that Jesus came back and needed a nice car for his work to be done in Saving America. It makes me very sad to know that old warriors who are dying everyday aren't supposed to have anything nice even in a small town. I will be glad when the Grim Reaper comes for me.
