Another day to share our opinions and say what we think about the state of affairs in the world. We are so fortunate here. I'm counting blessings and there are many of them. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

The US Envoy has met with Arafat again. :turquoiserolleyes:

Abu Zubaydah, the senior Al Qaeda field commander in U.S. custody, told his interrogators that the terrorist network knows how to build a "dirty bomb" and disperse it. Read the article in War on Terror.

As always there will be lots of news. If you hear a breaking story please post it here for everyone to see.

Don't forget to vote in the new poll if you haven't already done so. GOPUSA Poll (http://www.gopusa.com)

Remember, this is why we must work hard for Bush. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Here's another interesting photo that I ran across. This one is better. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Dr. Rice and Yo Yo Ma (http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/nm/20020423/mdf18722.jpg)

They performed together yesterday at an event where Ma was awarded the National Medal of Arts. Thats another subject but I thought the photo was nice.

Morning All! Well, I'm having a leisurely morning today. Took a sick day, so I can go to the doctor and then (horror!) to the dentist. Aargh. I have to have a 'crown build-up' and hopefully nothing more. I have my fingers crossed.

Terri - thanks for the mi. Actually, the school's not that bad, it's mainly that math class. Ok - so it's the bad kids. But, I think I'd rather be in a project school than in a wealthier neighborhood school, because I think I can do more where I am.

Sad things in the news today - looks like the Middle East conflict is heating up even more - Is this the beginning of the 'end times'?

Tuesday Morning Cheers To All!

OK. I ran a virus scan last night on ALL my files...and there was nothing found. SOOOOO, these pop-ups are coming from somewhere else. Either they are planted by someone screwing with my IP, or they are a contagion from a site with pop-ups. I dunno, but I've got an expert computer guru on it.

I haven't gotten my dose of AM news yet this morning. I'm guessing it's another day...another terrorist in the ME...and that Blake is rotting in his jail cell.

Gotta get running....today is bowling day (yuck). And to think that I think golf is a dumb game...chasing a little ball around. Bowling is kinda the same to me, but I only go because it's a great get together with lots of good friends. I keep trying to talk them all into a breakfast gathering rather than bowling..but so far...I lose!!!!

Later alligator.

Terri,

Wow!! I just heard Karen Hughes is leaving!!

Anyhow, thanks for the pic. Condi Rice is beauiful, brilliant, and talented. If for some reason Cheney can't be on the '04 ticket, Condi would be the BEST choice for VP.

SueElise, I just made a dental appointment yesterday. I have a filling that fell our months ago!! I HATE going to the dentist, so stupidly, I keep putting off making appointments. Good luck today.

I heard on the Mike Gallagher show that Moussaoui (sp?) was given a computer by the dingbat judge after his tirade in court yesterday. Grrr!!

Well, I have to go to the County Fair today to register voters at the Republican booth.

Have a great day, all!!

All sorts of things going on this morning. There's been a big train wreck in California. Right now they are reporting 105 injured with 25 of those life threatening. This took place in Placentia, CA. Apparently a freight train ran into the back of a commuter train.

On a happier note, Ari Fleischer is getting married. :1luvu: That's really neat!

Saber, that is really strange about the popups. Do they begin as soon as you visit the first site? Bowl well and maybe they'll agree to breakfast after. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif And I miss RIM! I hope she finds a computer to pop in and say hello!

SueElise, doctor and dentist all in the same day. Arrrrggghhh! You can tell how much I love to visit both. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif *You are right that there is more opportunity to help in a school like that but it does take it's toll on the teachers.

Donnalee, yes Karen Hughes is leaving. That may be a big loss for Bush. I agree about Condi if we can't keep Cheney. Bush needs both of them and Cheney is a goldmine of knowledge and wisdom.

This is all part of his desire to represent himself. He wants to contact his buddies. I wish this creature was being tried by a military tribunal.

A couple more breaking news items.

CNN is reporting explosions and increased helicopter activity outside Arafat's compound.

The Pope has said that Bishops made the wrong decisions in the sexual scandal in the US. Of course we knew that but the Pope has publicly acknowledged it. I also heard that many US Cardinals want Law removed.

Good morning all,

* Saber, you should delete your temporary internet files. Right click start, left click explore, on the left look under windows till you find temporary internet files. Double click that name and go up to edit at the top and select all, then go to file and delete. It won't delete anything you need. See if this works.

* Terri, great picture of YO YO Ma and Dr. Rice. What a wonderful team! Dr. Rice is an amazingly accomplished person and Yo Yo Ma plays a wicked cello.

Saber, I'm so glad Aknauta could help. We have some really nice handy folks here. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

There is so much news today. Be sure to check for lots of new stories that have been posted.

Aknauta, it would have been great to hear that performance.

Well, back from my day at the Dr an dentist. I waited 2 hours to see the doctor for 15 minutes - lovely hmos. The dentist did two fillings and a crown buildup - awful. But at least, when I arrived 15 minutes early, he started right away!

Our HMO has really improved on wait times. It sure is frustrating when you have to sit in that waiting room for such a long time.

I just posted a story about a virus that is taking hold in Greece. They aren't sure what it is but they are closing all their schools, etc.
