There's no doubt Hillary Clinton wants to be president one day, former President Jimmy Carter said Friday
But she should take a few years first to "separate" herself from her husband, Carter urged.
"I don't have any doubt that she has thoughts about the White House in her mind for the future," Carter told CNN. "I haven't talked to her about it, but I think that's common knowledge."
