There is a new poll on the FBI up on the Home page. Just look on the masthead and click the link for Home and you'll be there.

Take a look at the GOPUSA Web Site and Eagle section of our Forum. There are four new articles by some of our best columnists posted for your discussion. *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/compute.gif

Some of the news is really bizarre today. Maybe a good laugh with the *Leftersons (http://www.gopusa.com/cartoons/hayes/hayes_0603.shtml) will help with that.

Nice new look, Bobby! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yelclap.gif I especially like being able to read the text to the left of this window. *I was never able to before due to it being so tiny. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yelclap.gif

The forest fires here in Canada are sure terrible. *Many hundreds of people have been evacuated from many remote towns and villages and a Bible Camp has been burned to the ground.

Here's an interesting little article that might give you an idea about this... *

Sorry about my absence yesterday! We shopped til we dropped on Saturday and DID end up buying a digital camera. Hence, we spent almost all day yesterday "messing" with it. I'm in digital class "101" now! LOL OH MY!!! Such pictures! I haven't learned yet how to put them on here though. One of these days I'll figure THAT part out! BUT I LOVE IT! We ended up with an Olympus Camedia C-3020 which is 3.2 megapixels with 3X optical zoom....it is terrific. The next model up went REALLY up in price and it seemed like overkill for just doing the fun stuff that we want to do. SO....when I "get smart", you'll see the driveway.....and probably alot of other things you might or might not want to see! LOL http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/28.gif

ABERFOYLE! Long time no see girl! I miss your witty posts!

Angleus....good job! Keep plugging away on your song. It must give you such a sense of satisfaction! WAY GREAT!

BOBBY! LOVE LOVE LOVE the new page! The pictures at the top are wonderful and all the info down the side is so great! I do have alot of "white space" on the right side of the page. Is it just me?

Terri, thanks for posting that Drudge article about the Bush administration and global warming. It certainly has my blood boiling this morning! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif Now I've got to go check out the new poll and all the great discussions I'm sure I missed while playing with Olympus yesterday! LOL

Good article on Katherine from the surprisingly liberal St. Pete Times. Had a great time at the Wood Badge reunion last night in Punta Gorda. RIM, you are right about Florida being likely to also begin our annual fires. It is way dry again. However, I did finally find the storm you got on Thursday, it just hit Arcadia on Friday instead. You know, things move slow in the Peace River Valley... http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Dr. B, nice looking site, just when we thought it couldn't get any better. RIM, you can't retire now, they need you. But if you do, you should run for office. Your county needs more Republicans. If you do, I would be glad to help if I can. Maybe county commissioner? http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Campaign season is in full swing in SW Florida. I am getting invitations to events almost daily, from Katherine, school board races, county commissioner candidates, state legislature candidates, etc. This is the time of the political season I love, but it gets even better when the primary is over.

Dr. Eberle, great new look and I really like those scrolling headlines.

Flguy, go get'em. What are you going to run for? My wife is running for re-election to her seat as Borough Assemblyman because the Democrat dominated re-apportionment board made a jog in their map to place us in a different district so she would have to run against a Republican incumbant instead of the Democrat incumbant in our old district. Ah, politics, isn't it fun!!! ;-)

There are many new threads posted throughout today. I hope everyone will find something of interest. And of course you all know you can start threads on any subject that interests you.

Fires seem to be a big problem this year. The one in New Jersey yesterday was very threatening. We aren't in the forest here. *We are just east of where the prairie meets the foothills so we have more danger from the fast moving grass fires.

Saber, when you have your photos converted to a .jpg format you can e-mail anything you want to share here to me and I'll get it uploaded. I'll send you a note with more info.

Der Alte, good morning! Come back when you get all those chores done.

Good morning everyone! *I finished movement 2 of my song last night! *It has a weird ending, but . . . *It's only movement 2. *Besides, I think it is weird that people wanted to kill Jesus because of all the good things he had done in his life, so I guess it fits.

The movement is (hopefully) depicting the humble life of Christ, yet the power his life had on the world. *There are happy sections (because I doubt Jesus was sad all the time). *But the ending is weird. *It depicts both the meeting with the demon-possessed man (Legion) and the realization that he will be crucified. *So, that's why the ending sounds weird.

Why am I explaining this? *Simple. *It bears explanation, and if anyone wants to hear it, go to Laura's Midi Heaven (http://www.laurasmidiheaven .com)
Click on the link that says "Original", then when that page opens, click on "Enter" (or the big word that is "Originals"), and then search for the composer "Tony Lemaster"
Sometimes on this site, you may have to left-click the song title, and then right-click and save-as when the new window opens up (the title appears above the midi player as a link). *If it plays fine, don't worry about it. *But, if it plays over the .wav system instead of the .mid on your computer (like it does on mine for some odd reason), then saving the song and then listening from your hard drive will make it sound better (because it will come over the midi player, not the wav player).

Confused yet? *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif:confuse d::confused:
Well, if you can't get that to work, message me and let me know. *I'll send you the files through e-mail (by request only, since I don't want to bother people who don't want to listen).

In other news, I better go clean my room (the closet, AAAAAHHHHH!!!!! *THE HORROR!!! *THE HORROR!!!! *  )

Adios, mis amigos y amigas! *(See? *I still remember SOME Spanish . . )

Prior knowledge to 9/11 looks like as of today the company only knew about the terror attacks. Did you also know that clinton recieved (1996,and in 1999) the same memo Bush got. Clinton sat on the memo. Makes me wonder what he was thinking.

Bobby, http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Mark, we'll be interested in hearing all about the campaign you are working on. It's really good to get the grassroots view.

Tisha, Mark, I don't think the media or the Democrats are a bit interested in going back past January 2001 to ask "what did you know" and "when did you know it". They won't like the answers to that one because there is plenty of evidence that Clinton didn't want to know and that he didn't want the FBI or CIA to know either.
Saber, so this could be your candidate too, right? *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yelclap.gif *
And then there are some of us who make noise and squawk. I won't name any names but we come out of the foxhole sometimes. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif

I've been talking about our big grass fire today and now there is a huge brush and forest fire in an area about 50-60 miles from here. It's near the Royal Gorge. The area has been closed, 15 structures have been lost, and it's 7,000 acres so far. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I suppose not Terri, and I am not sure if going back any further would help, b/c in this case I don't see it as being the fault of either President. What could either of them have done to keep this from happening? Really.. It's not like they could have stoped all air traqffic, that would have gotten many laughs from the galleries. Though in my opinion Clinton was a bit more lax on the subject.... It all comes down to the fact that it happened, and now people wnat to place blame somewhere, anywhere, and it just so happend that Bush is the President at this point!

Hi guys! Busy day today, but good. Only 7 more to go. We had an awards ceremony this morning, which thankfully didn't drag on too long. It seems in years past that every club gave attendance awards to all of the members, making the ceremony go sometimes over two hours. Today's focused mostly on the seniors, so it was only a little over an hour. The students were pretty good.

Today was something else! One thing after another--First, when I went to Target, I ran in to my best friend. *Her son had his college physical and his TB test was positive. *What a shocker. *They are finding out from x-rays tomorrow if it is already in his lungs, etc. *These are our very close friends that are having the graduation party on Saturday for their son and our's.

My husband and sons were at church doing some work and I went there to drop something off and found out my son's were involved in a fender-bender. *Thankfully, nothing serious--but my husband's first words were--"David's been in an accident" *Even though he was right before my eyes, I had a major heart attack! *Those words just put you into a tizzy dither! *It was his fault and the front of his MINI VAN (that nobody is going to take away!http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif) is a little ripped up and the headlight broken. *The lady's car did not have a scratch on it! *Hopefully, we won't hear from them. *

Then I got home and in the mail was a letter from the IRS! *Major heart attack number 2! *We do our own taxes, so it's always a little worrisome to receive something from them. *It was easily rectified and is all ready to be sent off again tho. *But it took about 1 hour to figure it out. Do any conservatives work for the IRS? *I doubt it!http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nopityA.gif
