Imagine that, yesterday so many people signed into the Precinct that I couldn't get in till today!

Floridaguy, the best meat is good old Beef with Lots of Fat!!!! It's the fat that makes it a great steak. Even sushi is not bad cooked in lots of very hot beef fat!

And if liberals can compare Bush to Hitler (even though Hitler was a far left Socialist who was also a fascist, and fascism simply means not allowing another point of view to be expressed, so it's not a right-wing term like the Baldwins would have you believe), then we can compare Daschle to Stalin.

I found a way to respond to them and advised them that if they didn't get rid of Ziglar and change their policies on illegal immigration that they would lose my support and the support of many of my republican friends. I told them not to sell out the rest of us, trying to get the hispanic vote - its a lose, lose situation.

For those of you with aliments, may they be short and not to severe.

For those of you that think the weather is to hot - we had 100 degrees here in NC yesterday - first time since last August.

For those of you that have forest fires - may you have lots of rain.

Aberfoyle, since you are from Canada, maybe you can shed some light on a burning issue of today (at least for me). I have heard that Canda has VERY lax immigration, so much so that virtually anyone can get in even without documentation. What do you think about it?

Afternoon all! Happy flag day! I swear, I'm gone for one day and there's so much going on it's hard to take it all in! Yesterday was the last day of exams and graduation. We nearly got poured on, but the rain only served to make the 90 degree evening only more humid, and then it knocked out our new sound system so the mikes kept cutting out. But it was a lovely ceremony, and today we're finished (it's the latest I've ever finished checking out - I was done today at 2, but I'm usually done by 10 am) and last night a huge bunch of teachers went out for drinks. TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

I got an interesting call this afternoon from the temp company I worked for last summer. I'd called them to see about temping again this summer, but I told them I wanted to try to work just a few days a week. Anyway, seems a local utility company is looking to revise their apprenticeship curriculum, and called the temp co for help finding someone. So they thought of me. I'm hoping it works out and meets all my summer job requirements - lots of money, 2-3 days a week, but not full days, no hose or closed-toe shoes, and cute guys. What do you think?

Well, I've got a lot of catching up to do, so I'm off to check the news.

Afternoon/Evening all. Well, we didn't hit 200 yet, but I am watching for it! Have an excellent weekend. What will you all be doing? Big plans? My sons and I are going to a Tampa Bay Storm (arena football) game at the Ice Palace Arena (where the Lightning play, too) and actually sleeping over there tomorrow night (it is Scout Night). After the game and everyone gets sent outside, they clean it, then let all the scouts/families back in. They show a movie on the big screen, tell ghost stories, then finally it is lights out (at about 3 AM). Then they wake you up (reveille over the loud speakers) at about 7 AM, tell you to grab a tiny juice cup and a donut hole or two, and you are out of there! Did this three years ago, got no sleep. Only doing it again because it is son #2 last year in Cub Scouts (not too many Boy Scouts partake), and my last year with the pack for a while.

Anyhow, hope everyone felt patriotic today, and has a great weekend. I may post early tomorrow, but if not shoul dbe on here briefly for Father's Day. I'm just now listening to "The Angry American" by Toby Keith. It's a great song! Without Peter Jennings banning it, I doubt this song would be nearly as popular. Peter Jennings may have inadvertantly re-created a bit of patriotism that was dying down.

Aberfoyle, that is a wonderful pic! Sorry I forgot to comment on it earlier.

I no longer have a father to celebrate Father's Day with, since he ran out on me and mom for a young floozy (I know, a mean name, but it's true) and has basically shut me out of his life until I say what he did was okay, which I won't, because I'm a conservative Christian who stands on principle and changes my mind for nobody.

I guess I should celebrate though. After all, we all have one Father, our God in Heaven, to thank for living. I'll celebrate that, but as for a human father, I'm out. Don't feel sorry for me, either. I'm over it, just getting it out in the air here so there is no confusion.

To all those with fathers, cherish them while ya got 'em!

In case you don't know about F'burg, TX, it's a little German town about 80 miles West of San Antonio nestled in the Hill Country. *The locals cherish their German heritage so much that almost all NEW buildings are built with similar architectural lines as the old ones. Angelus, I, too, believe God sometimes uses evil people to bring about certain outcomes, (see the book of Job in O.T.) and "allowing" isn't the same as "causing". *He tells us that good things can come about as a result of bad things (see Romans 8:28). Now, we must look for the good!
