Dean raises party's anxiety

By Donald Lambro
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
November 29, 2003

Democratic leaders and advisers say there is growing anxiety about the prospect of antiwar candidate Howard Dean becoming their presidential nominee next year, which has triggered talk of a "stop Dean" movement in the party.

These Democrats say that the concerns center in large part on Mr. Dean's bitter opposition to the war in Iraq that, they maintain, will make their party look weak on national security and the war on terrorism in next year's presidential election.

"There clearly are concerns about Dean's ability to appeal to the entire country, particularly on national security issues," former White House Chief of Staff Leon Panetta said in an interview.

Doc Howie appeals to the loony base of the CDNC. He will also finish off whatever credibility the party as a whole has left. It's all good to me. He may play well in markets like LA and New York, but everywhere else he will bomb. But even as the the loser he will be running the party, if he's smarter than he looks he'll start with an audit. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Ssshhhh! Let's all be very quiet about what the Fringe-Doctor is doing wrong. Go Howie! . . . Not that any of the other Eight would do any better, however! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif What a joke these guys are. If criticizing a strong and able administration were the goal, they'd all get good grades, but I think Fly-over Citizens (minus the fringe) feel very comfortable with the job that is being done currently.

If Dean gets the nod, McAwful, Swill, and Billary are no longer in control of the DNC. Howie will have an unfortunate accident before that ever happens (Can we say Vince Foster?). The "October Surprise" of 2004 will undoubtedly come from within the Democratic party itself. These people have eaten their own young before, rest assured, they'll do it again.

Hillary Clinton is truly the Antichrist, and her own ambitions know no bounds, legal or not.

Granted, Doc Howie should avoid Fort Marcie Park, railroad tracks, and C-141's, but wouldn't an assasianation traced back to the Clintoniski's be a juicy story.
Of course we would suffer through the howls for more gun control, even if he is offed with a coat hanger, but when your enemies have at each other it is all good. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/usflag22.gif
