Democrats Insist Republicans Pull Bush Ad

Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle is demanding that Republicans stop showing their first television ad of the 2004 presidential race, which he called "repulsive and outrageous."

The 30-second ad, featuring clips of Bush during his State of the Union address last January, portrays the president as a fighter of terrorism as Democrats retreat from the fight.

"It's wrong. It's erroneous, and I think that they ought to pull the ad," Daschle told NBC's "Meet the Press" program on Sunday.

"We all want to defeat terrorism," the South Dakota senator said. But "to chastise and to question the patriotism of those who are in opposition to some of the president's plans I think is wrong."

The Republican National Committee has no plans to honor Daschle's wishes.

They need to pull Daschle out of the Senate for being far more outrageous his entire political life than that ad is.

Glad I missed Meet The Liberal Press yesterday, I gotta wonder how many times Daschle was "concerned" or "troubled" by this ad. I LOVE the 'in your face' tone of the ad. The Dums just can't handle the truth.

I guess the Lefties would have preferred that Bush went and gave Usama and Saddam a big wet, sloppy kiss and a pile of our money hoping that they won't hurt us anymore.

On a side note, I found a site, opensecrets.org, that follows the money in politics. Quite interesting! Seems that Daschle, for one, gets over 80% of his campaign contributions from outside his home state. The Lib Senator from my home state, IN, gets over 60% of his from outside Hoosierland. Kinda tells you where their priorities lie when it comes to a vote on an issue. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

It's a darned good ad in my opinion, and the Dems can't handle the truth! They have said and implied far worse than this Republican ad implies. Also I believe that we haven't seen the worst from the Democrats at this point.

There seems to be no substance in that now-Socialist party anymore. . . just hate and criticism and twisting of issues to pull the wool over those eyes of people who still believe in the party or those who simply want to hate our present administration.

They want to get the ad off the air because they have nothing of substance with which to counteract it and they know it absolutely nails them.

To all the democrabs, stop your whining about the republican ad. Apparently the facts are obfuscating their attempts to subvert government and their duplicitious machinations.
To quote Jack Nicholson's character in A Few Good Men "Truth? You can't handle the truth!"

(Just as an aside, was not the senior bloviator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-UI) deriding and castigating the recent attempt of the republicans to put the wheels back on the constitution with repect to judicial nominations but now thinks that a filibuster is a swell idea when it comes to supporting his misguided ideas? Just a thought.)

All I can say is .....IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!

We need to take it to the streets and hold up a mirror to the current leadership, policies, and machinations of the Democratic Party., They have gotten extremely far from their voting base and have let personal power override common sense. The more these ads come out and show them for what they are by using facts and sound bytes, the more we will reach the average Joe out there.

well, you have to really be stupid if you want to act like the dumbocrats. after old bore's two year old rantings and kennedy sounding off like a drunken wet fart http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif and the rest of the dumbos trying to bumble along, you have to wonder if they have any brains. the story of their holding up the judges until michigan votes finally came out on netscape, but don't think it hit yahoo or aol, and know it didn't hit msn, so not much coverage on it, but they want to act like two year olds and want to be at the head of the class and get mad when someone comes up with something better. they want to be able to sling all of the mud and no one can come up with anything to hit them with, and when someone does they get mad. well, I have no pity on them. I changed parties when clinton wound up in office, and I have no desire to change with the way they are acting. they keep saying that they have the peoples best interest in mind, yet they don't do their job. not too long ago there was a list of the wannabes that were making most of the voting time tables when they were supposed to be, but about half of them didn't bother to show up for half of the voting and the excuse was they were on the road trying to get the votes for themselves.

So true.

A microcosm of the democrabic party can be found in the stellar group of presidential pretenders. One is worst than the other and collectively they are the worst of all.

Their ambiguity and infighting is symptomatic of a party in distress and despair.

But, I guess it depends on what "ambiguity" means. (A tip of the hat to disbarred ex-Prez, WJC!)

That hate filibusters, they love filibusters.

They want prescription care for the elderly, they hate prescription health care. (Truly, the only thing they want changed is the names of the sponsors to make it look totally democrabic.)

They claim that they are for law and order but when a judge who shows a scintilla of backbone is nominated for an important post, well, that just wont do! They do not want anyone in the judiciary who will not subvert the constitution for the good of the democrabs!

For a true measure of a man or woman, listen to the way they speak! Kennedy, daschle, Clinton jr, and all the rest are strident in their denunciations yet offer nothing in the way of constructive advice, feasible alternatives or any other positive input.

(If you want to have a true laugh, listen to Clinton jr’s, speech in the Senate of yesterday. She was trying to make an analogy of the republicans and the sheep in wolf’s clothing. It is truly hysterical as she was adding chickens and the shepards guarding the chicken coop. She can not even get the simplest of children’s stories straight! And this from the smartest woman in the world in her own mind!)

HAVE A GREAT AND BLESSED THANKSGIVING, ALL!
BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE AND THOSE WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE!

GOB BLESS and GOD SPEED

John

The fireworks on the other side of the aisle will be entertaining for the next few years, but, they will not just go away. The Commies haven't just gone away, they went to ground. The commiecrats will do the same. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/usflag22.gif

<span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'>Democrat is becoming even more synonymous with Socialism.

Many of these pathetic excuses for the waist of urban smog need to receive FREE Government funded frontal lobotomies!

What are they going to propose next? that the USA become a Taliban territory?

They are trying to sell us out and take away our rights at every turn! They are trying to STOP FREEDOM OF SPEECH by trying to ban that ad!

I fear that some of these clowns are NOT beneath murder!

As a matter of fact - I am inclined to think it has happened already!

Why hasn't anyone brought up the fact that in the Clinton era there were too many unexplainable deaths?

Such as:

1) the friend of the Clintons who killed himself? His family claimed there was NO WAY he would do ANYTHING like that!

2) What about the family that was killed in the plane crash?
The several people I know who have private (small) planes also have a recorder in the plane.

. . . you top that off with the forced removal of the politician in New Jersey just before the last presidential election (he ran scared!!)

I have to wonder - HOW FAR WILL THEY GO?

If you want to see the worst end of this liberal problem - you need to check out a couple of these morons on This Lewis County Delphi Forum! * It'll blow your mind to how off the rocker they are! (http://forums.delphiforums. com/lewiscountywa/messages)

Here's a hint for you, when you here a liberal spew this it really means, either A. I'm paying off a campiagn contributor and screw you, or B. I'm feathering my own nest and screw you, or C. just screw you, peasant, or D. all of the above.
It is a sad affair that a major political party stopped speaking the majority language of this nation years ago, but that is the way it is. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/usflag22.gif

Today's Liberals are only concerned with Freedom of THEIR Speech, no dissenting opinions allowed. Anything else is Hate Speech and should be banned. That's why the are determined to silence Fox News Channel and Rush Limbaugh, and most all of talk radio anyway they can.

I think that's why so many opposed removing Saddam from power, they actually envied the way he could control the media and get 99.9% of the vote in every election. And make no mistake about it, The Clintonistas would not be above using the same methods Sodamn Insane used if given the chance. They've killed before, and they will surely do it again.
